Hello all
I recently picked up an XDM 10mm.  Hoping to begin loading for it soon.

I have handloaded for many centerfire rifle rounds but never pistol rounds.  I'm excited to begin.

I'm about to buy the Lee deluxe 4 die set.

But I'm having trouble finding bullets.  Where do you guys typically find the best deal on large quantities of 10 mm (.40") bullets?

Thank you!

Which model XDm did you get? I have the 4.5 OSP model in fde color.

If you are wanting hardcast bulkets, try Laser Cast.

I got the 4.5" barrel.  Standard sights, No thread barrel.

So far I like it.

Hoping it'll be fun to load for.

Thanks for the hard cast link.  I'll likely end up loading this for bear defense, but for now looking for cheap jacketed bullets to practice with...

Although at that price ($.08/rnd) why not practice w cast?

Ok after a lot of reading, I think the polymer coated (like hi-tek) cast bullets are a great affordable choice.

Do you guys prefer round nose or semi wad cutter?  For practicing on paper.

Thank you all for your time and thoughts!

I like the nice round full-diameter holes that a SWC cuts in paper.  If you practice on steel, it doesn't matter.

I suppose the Lee dies will work OK.  I only use the LEE FCD as a push through sizer.  I prefer the RCBS Carbide Dies and use these the most for 10mm and 40S&W.

Right now there are very high demands on Primer & Bullets...
Rocky Mountain Reloading, Northeast Reloading, Redeye Reloading, Montana Gold can have bulk bullets at time some are better than others.

Cast bullets can be a good choice but you need to understand the process for best results.  Seating fully without the casing encountering the crimp section of the die helps to eliminate bullet material from shaving and rolling up on the case mouth edge or collapsing the case itself.  Then use a separate step to apply a nice taper crimp to finish with measured 0.4215" or 0.4220" on the very edge of the case mouth for jacketed bullets and slightly more for cast bullet 0.4020" may be at 0.4220" - 0.4225".

Extreme has plenty of plated bullets, I've used the 180 gr. Shot fine.

They have plenty of different weights in stock.
