Hello,

I am considering buying a new Fusion GI Freedom Series 10mm. I've owned several 1911 10mms (Kimber, Colt, DW) and now want something with no rail, fixed sights, blued, for lack of any better terms, a "good old 1911" in spirit, but in 10mm.

From what I've read, the Fusion GI 5" 10mm is that pistol. Plus it's a Series 70, which I have never owned, and can be had from Fusion with a ramped Wilson/Nowlin barrel.

Although I can't find the 10mm option on the dropdown, Tyler Serva of Fusion assures me it is available. IMO this is pretty cool ... I don't know why.

Another cool factor would be if the slide were rollmarked similar to an M1911 (font, size, leading) only reflecting Fusion as the manufacturer, etc. To me, that would be a considerable nerdgasm.

I was wondering if anyone has any firsthand experience with this firearm, and willing to share.

I tried looking for past reviews here, but my searches failed.

Thanks in advance,

david

I've been kicking around a 10mm Fusion longslide as an alternative to the Remington R1.
