I've got nothing against ports as I have a bunch of .357s and .41s that have been to Mag-Na-Port...but "holes" in the end of a traditional SAA barrel just leaves something to be desired from an aesthetic perspective....

Will be waiting to see how it shoots...

Yeah, looking forward to the range review. Probably some heavy concussion if you go to an indoor range, I would imagine.

I was at the local Sportsmans warehouse and came across one of these 10mm Ubreti Cattleman Ursus SA revolvers. Will pick it up in a week.

How long is the actual barrel length before the porting? 4"? I wouldn't want to lose that much velocity, personally.

It does look okay to me, but it is a bit discordant, too. I think I'd stick with the heavier bullets in it, though.

Very nice congrats enjoy shooting it when you pick it up.

glennasher, the length of BBL before the ports in just under 4" so yeah for sure there will some loss of velocity. Planning to shoot some handloads tomorrow so we'll see how it does. It will be interesting to see how it compare to the 610.

Hey Guys,
I spent some time shooting the Uberti side by side with the SW610 (handloads). In summary, the Uberti is a shooter. POI is a bit high and to the left. It will be interesting to get more range time to see how/if it changes with various loads. The 610 feels comparable but with better sights and smoother S/A trigger pull. Obviously huge difference in the grips between the two which makes for kind of a tough compare.

I picked up a Uberti NM Cattleman in 357 while doing some gun trading. It shoots well looks cool, besides that dont know much about it. What makes it the New Model, is there anything i should know about this pistol? What kinda of pressure should I keep under while loading for this guy? Any info appreciated thanks
