I sized, trimmed and primed 100 pieces of new Starline 10mm brass today. Did this in anticipation of the arrival of 400 180 grain rnfp hard cast bullets tomorrow.

What did you do?

Finally hung the shelves in my loading room as part of my reorganization project!  ::)

I need some more shelves in mine. The ones I have are completely full.

Yeah empty shelves are so nice but never seem to last long. Mine are full but organized. I do have too many boxes of 10 of this 23 of that but I have been trying to shoot it up as I can. Nicer weather has helped with that in general and it's a lot of fun to boot. Craig

I received 3000 147 grain 9mm bullets from The Blue Bullet company all in 1 box. Man, it was heavy!

I have seen posts like this go for YEARS AND WITH DOZENS OF PAGES!! ;D ;D ;)

Good post!!

Last night I installed gas checks in about 200 30 cal bullets.

I prepped 50 222 Rem cases for loading.

I tumbled the balance of 300 6.5 Grendel brass

Lastly pulled out some 300 BO brass for those GC'd bullets.

I am kicking around the idea of getting a 22-250, probably with an Ackley chamber and a 1:87 or 1:8 twist.  I got about 500 pieces of new brass when I bought out a reloader a year or two back, so clearly I need a gun so I can unload any ammo I make.

Along those lines, I ordered some 90 grain 224 pills.  They came Monday, so I loaded up a couple of dummy cartridges with a 90 grain SMK and a 90 grain Fusion soft point.  The goal was to measure COAL with those long 22's loaded just so the base of the bullet was aligned with the base of the neck, and then calculate the needed free bore to chamber them, and ensure they would fit in an AR10 magazine.

COAL came out to 2.715" for the fusion.  It loaded longer than the matchking due to it's very short boat tail.  The 95 grain Matchking would probably load out to a full 2.800 to fit the magazine, but require less freebore due to the long ogive.

Now I gotta decide how much jump I am willing to live with in lighter bullets compared to seating into the case for these long, heavy ones.

The goal is to have something that can still shoot the 62 grain bullets well, but also get out to a mile above transonic with the 90 grain stuff.  I see videos of guys pushing the 22 Valkyrie to a mile, and I should have a 300-400 fps speed advantage over that round for the same bullet.  That translates to 32 minutes less drop at a mile.  and 2 minutes less wind drift in a 6 mph wind.

My time was pretty uneventful compared to most. Stopped into my favorite small town reloading shop to shoot the breeze with the owner, only to leave with 1K primers, 500 starline brass, and a jug of BE-86, now I can get to work on the 165gr  Federal Hydra-Shok's I didn't remember I had 😀

I got my bullets in the mail and loaded an OCW test. 35 rounds of 10mm with 9.2 to 10.4 grains of Blue Dot under 180gr RNFP hard cast.

de-primed, re-sized and trimmed 200+ pieces of.308 Win brass.

Hey Blaster great minds think alike. I deprimed 250 9mm cases and put them in the tumbler. They are now done and in the oven drying. I don't have any small pistol primers and the local place is out of them. Will move on and maybe the net will have the primers but I haven't done to well lately on the net as they are also sold out.  Craig

Cleaned a bunch of nonreloading/nongun related detritus from one of the benches.

About a 1000 556 brass going through the trim process.

Setting up to do a run of 200gr Nosler JHPs I got from SPS a few years ago.

Started putting things back in the loading / hobby room today...I hate to say this but I have a problem... :-[
Anyway sorting combining and organizing years worth of all sorts of collected brass, bullets that are in my current stock pile (no shortages), still have ammo to sort through and ammo cans to label as they fill up! ;D
Thinks are progressing nicely, but what a job to organize all that stuff! :o

One day I'll get to sit at the loading bench and continue where I left off... ;D
