She is indeed pristine and was likely some ones safe queen. Other than the slide being polished (very well BTW) it is just as it left S&W. Box all paperwork and a second mag.
We ran a little over a hundred rounds on the range today through her and she ate everything without any issues. Ran Priv 185 JHP, Hornaday 185 JHP + Underwood 185 FMJ and 165 JHP.  Only problem is right now it consistently shoots low and to the left so will have it looked at later this week. SUPER smooth shooter with much less felt recoil than my Glock 29 + that NICE trigger!
My son got a short video with his phone. This was running 175 grain FMJ Underwood.

Really liking this one and when we get the sight issue resolved it should be a keeper! Shot consistently and grouped well just low to the left so---.
Here are the photos and this is before I cleaned her after running a little over 100 rounds on the range today.

Congrats! After some changes to my 1006 I really like it. I hope the trigger eventually gets better but it shoots the 10mm cartridge so well.

I have a post in the Gunsmithing section showing what I did. My 1006 shot low and to the right. The sight could have been drifted to fix the right issue but like yours mine had fixed sights. My process was a total re-do with LPA adjustable rear target sight and Dawson fiber-optic front sight. Turned out great and shoots perfect now!

Thanks for that tip man I will check out the thread. If I can get her to shoot true this one is a keeper as it feels really good in my hand and shoots SMOOTH!
On the trigger on mine maybe the former owner messed with it because it breaks nice and crisply. Keep in mind I have been a BHP shooter for many years so in comparison to the trigger on a stock high Power this is wonderful!

My lord you guys are killin' me here. They look like they're fresh off the factory floor. Pretty sure I just saw one of these on an old rerun of Law and Order SVU yesterday--did a literal double-take. It was a long scene with a guy holding one (I'm pretty sure) while he chatted for a while. Anyway, congratulations--looks like a mint specimen. Seems the ones that do come up (and the similar models) are always in nearly unused condition--probably because the owners couldn't find any ammo.  :P

Update had a buddy who is a gunsmith at a local range take a look at the sights on the 1066 today and the front sight had been moved to the left.
We took a sight vice to her today and as of now she shoots where I point her!! I ran a quick 50 rounds of the Priv light stuff through her on the range today and got nice tight groups with no issues. Digging this one big time!
Anybody got a source for a nice set of some purty wood grips fer one of these??

You may find what you need here: http://www.hoguestore.com/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=3

Caution: the wood grips here may make the grip considerably larger.
