This post needed an update...Well the 45ACP's are still sitting there not loaded yet, I may opt for some new +P brass for this project but it will happen.

However, I finally found some 115 grain (true) Jacket Hollow Point 9mm (0.3550") projectiles for my 357Sig and 9x25Dillon, the bullets were pulled projectiles (appear to be Federal HST with long skives), these should be great performers from these cartridges and 9mm as well.

So off to the bench to set up and load some 357Sig for now... ;D

Ok, put three 357SIG together 10.0 grains LongShot, put three 9x25 Dillon together with 10.8 grains LongShot and loaded one 9mm 115 +P+ with 7.0 of Auto Comp to mimic the Underwood offering.  Now to get out and test these.

But for the last couple weeks it's been 357 and 10mm

Oh Lord I hope the zombies hold off another day or two since I blew off nearly all the 10mm I had loaded.  I still have some factory stuff, but I kinda like to keep that in reserve.

Got to prep a bunch of new Starline brass and get a couple hundred loaded up.  150 Nosler and 180 Hornady Action Pistol are most likely the main stay for this round.

Over the winter I shot most of whta I had in reserve and my stockpile has ran low.  I needed to get ready for the summer shooting season, so in the past month I've loaded 38 S&W, 38 Special, 9mm, 10mm, 45 ACP, 45LC, .223, 30-30 and 12g.

Shooting a mixed bag. A good bit of 40, 10mm, a lot of 9mm, some 5.56, and tinkering with some 300 blackout working up some loads for some 110g & 150g projectiles & the powder shortage is a big PITA, I can't find any 1680 anywhere. I'm just glad I bought a bunch of Titegroup when I did.

Been shooting mostly 10mm from my Gen 2, 38/357 from K frames & my Rossi 92, 30-06 from my Savage 110, & a little 22lr from a MkIII 22/45 P4 & my Nylon 66.  Reloading has been pretty slow recently, have done a little 10mm, 38/357 & 30-06. I have been casting for the 38/357 & need to step up my reloading, I'm down to about 900 rounds ......  :o  My wife is set for her 9mm, still have about 3k on the shelf.

Well after scoring some 357Sig brass and powder, I've been processing (separating by headstamps) all of it in preparation of loading it.  Pass through sizing all of it with the LEE 10mm FCD, then resizing with the Dillon dies.  There may be as much as 2500 pieces total.

However the SPEER & CCI 357Sig brass has tiny flash holes (have no idea why they did this, as no other manufactures use such a small flash hole)(it is so small it will break a small decapping pin because they will not pass through), so these are hand deprimed using a special decapping pin I made.  Now I am drilling out all the flash holes, it is a pain in the ass >:D, but its a one time thing, to be able to reuse them over the next time.

I get them done, over time I'll load them up with various projectiles, 115gr JHP's, 125g cast Devastator HP's, 115gr Frangible solids, 122gr cast LEE TC's and even some 110gr cast round nose.   ;)

6mm BR cases made by Lapua have small flash holes and I'd guess if you asked you die manufacturer for the small decap pins for those you would be good to go.  I have some for Redding and I don't know if they would vary from what your using.  When using a standard pin, they would fit tight in the flash hole and needed a pliers to remove the darned thing.

I hear ya Geeman, my first experience with the small flash holes in the CCI/SPEER was using the LEE 357Sig dies "new" stuck the decapping pin in the flash hole and broke it off while trying to remove the casing.  Then bent and broke another.

Called Dillon about getting a smaller pin they said they didn't make one and never heard of the issue of small flash holes.  I'm going to modify the decapping pin for the Dillon set.

I'm about a 1/3 of the way with drilling them out...Getting there.   ;D

I'm glad that I only load 40S&W for my daughter and son and 10mm for me.
If I was like Ganog56 and some of the others - by the time I could make up my mind what to shoot - the war would be over - I'll take the simple life and shoot 22 for target  and 10mm for everything else, 10mm G20sf M-T  carbine,G20sf 6.6 inch, hunting, and G29sf for carry. The only decision I have to make is how hot a load I want to shoot from any of them - My own Powder coated heads I have - 200 and 220 and 180gr (red - hot hot ) (black - 3/4 to hot ) ( black teflon for experimenting ) while I may expand my head inventory to some of the new commercial powder coated heads with no lube groves ( 200gr and 180 gr ) thats about as complicated as I want to get. And add to that the 6 different powders I'm using, Its already getting too complicated as it is.

Ahhh, but when the Zombie Apocalypse comes, I can raid any gun store and find something I can shoot!  :))

261 rounds of 10mm - aka 1 CWC (Cool Whip Container) These were my multi-fired cases (more than second firing) that I'll use when I don't care if I loose the brass or not.  They are my plinking rounds.

Loading was 8.5g of 800X under a 180g Xtreme plated hollow point lit with a Winchester primer.  They should leave the barrel at 1200FPS or close to it.  Total calculated cost (figuring the brass is fully depreciated) is $40.93 for the 261 pieces at current prices.  Of course my labor isn't wirth anything so no matter how long it takes to assemble, it won't impact the cost :P

Also loaded a step up series of 15 rounds of 416 Rigby, topping out at 95g of Reloder 17 should be about 4000 ft-lb out of my new 16.5" pistol barrel.  Ouch :o

Double Ouch :o :o  But cool as all get out!  8)

My estimate was a little off on the 357Sig brass, final total after processing was only 1715, had to toss a few that were split for original factory firing.  These have been pass through sized, resized and deprimed (many were hand deprimed and needed flash holes drilled to normal size 1150), case mouth sized and expanded and re-tumbled clean and shinny and are ready to prime and place the powder and bullet.
