I've been loading and shooting my 44 Mag and .270 Winchester a lot lately.  I'm already thinking about the firearms deer season and want to take my first critter with a hand load this year. For the 44 I have been working with 270grain Speer Deep Curl and 240 grain Hornady XTP.   Im having a little difficulty finding the sweet spot for the 240 Nosler Hunting JHP, but its a work in progress.  For the 270 WIn I have been working with 150 grain Nosler Partition, 130 grain Hornady Interbond, 140 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips, 150 grain Winchester (Nosler) Ballistic Silvertips.  If deer season opened tomorrow I would take the 240 grain XTP 44 Mag and the 150 grain PArtitions for the 270.

I was loading for the 45 ACP, but I ran out of bullets.  ???

Ran 100 Rounds of 165gr Xtremes thru the MG20 last week
The 165gr RSFN is in front of 9.3grs of AA#5 and Winchester LPPs, pushed into Winchester Brass Cases
Had a few Fail to Feeds
Thinking OAL issues....maybe ? ? ?
Mic'd them out at 1.250"
Going to try 1.240" tomorrow
If that doesn't work, I may go the other way, and try a full 1.260" OAL  :-\

I don't have anything other than what I've found on a few online articles. Sounds interesting. I've got the old redding press fired up and ready. Do you have any powder suggestions? As far as bullets, I was just gonna buy some from Dry Creek but they look to be out of stock on everything.

Well, I ran the 1.240" OAL through the MG20
Same thing....several Fail to Feeds
Now what ? go shorter yet or go to the full 1.260" OAL ?
Wrote to MechTech to ask them if they think it's the OAL or the Bullet Profile that's to blame

How are the FT feeds jamming? Bolt not quite closing fully?  Bullet getting stuck bolt open plenty?  ???

Yes, the later...mostly open, with the Round pinned in between the Bolt and the Chamber
