Reeder custom would probably convert a GP100 for you and be less out the door than $1300.  And you would have a fully custom gun.

Danimal

I'm a big fan of my 610:

Planning on sending my 4" GP100 to Dave Clement to have him convert it to 10mm, and shorten it to a 3".

nice.gun danimal.  Welcome to the forum.

Good luck with the GP100 too.  I know lots of members here are interested in how that turns out.

Hello Danimal, welcome and nice 610!  8)  Be sure to post some pics of that completed GP-100 if and when!

IIRC, his turnaround on this project would be 18 months :o.  I already have a 3" and 6" GP, and the 4" just sits in the safe.....so I guess it wouldn't be any different than it just sitting here in my safe.

Welcome to the forum danimal. :)

Nice 610!   And by all means, please show us the end product of your customization!

Shadow,

I'm with ya on the "I have always wanted the 610 but haven't found the right deal for one without the stupid internal lock." I'm also glad we can say this without the lock police (S&W Mods) arriving and shutting down the thread.

We know exactly where one cow with Mad-cow-disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in America, but we haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located.

Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration.

Thanks for the pictures!

Now I want one too.

Falls nicely in line with the math function I created to describe how many 10mm's you need to have:

g =  n+1

Where g is guns you need and n is the guns you have!

Nice one!  That about puts E=mc to shame.

Edited to add;  The system won't let me use the alt code for squared.  It lets me when I'm typing up the post, but takes it away when actually submitting the post.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

HiVel

My 610 is the most accurate 10mm gun I own of 6: Kimber, Colt, 2 Glocks and the Niteguard S&W in 10mm. The Niteguard is really a slick piece-shoots 40 cal also (as does the 610)-great gun for fun and can be carried -sort of a large carry gun , but it does work for that  in the right holster.   I like them all, but my handgun hunter is my 610.

Every 10mm fan needs at least one 610.  I've got a 5" no-dash with one of the sweetest triggers of any of my many revolvers.  Always on the lookout for a pre-lock 3" or 4" but they don't come up for sale often.  A really nice prelock 3" listed as NIB sold recently on GB for almost $1400 so apparently someone else wanted one pretty bad too!

I just hate cleaning cylinders, mainly because clean to me is overdoing it to most.  I know, I know, ridiculous. :-\

On the other hand...I can clean a lot of cylinders in the time it takes me to track down 500 rounds of spent brass.
