Looking for 220g lead data

Started @ 7.0 Blue dot. 890 fps

Currently 8.3 Blue Dot 1120 fps

No signs of pressure. 

GT 220 hp pc coated seated 1270"

But this is a top-end load. Reduce by 2 grains and work up at your own discretion.

I just looked at the GT Bullets website as I had not heard of them before you mentioned them and their products. Did you notice that they do not recommend these bullets for the 10mm Glock? They state the following,

"This is very heavy for 40 S&W and not recomended for Glocks due to the bullet length and weight. It is a wide flat nose as well as hollow point for a very hard hitting 40 caliber projectile." I can only believe that this is a .38-40 bullet or is intended for 10mm revolver use. Trying to fit these in a 10mm case with a reasonable amount of powder to make for a usable load would give you an overall length exceeding the 1.26" length for a Glock.

Although you did not specify what gun you are shooting these in, my interpretation of your load results make me think Glock with an aftermarket barrel. If that is the case, you are getting into dangerous pressure territory seating these at 1.27"- you're cramming ALOT of bullet into the powder space. And remember, pressure signs are not a linear progression in ammunition. 

Another thing to consider...
GT Bullets states that they use the old 92-2-2 alloy for their products. What they don't state is whether they are air-dropped, water-quenched, or heat-treated, nor do they mention a BHN for these bullets. These are important distinctions, especially in a high pressure cartridge such as the 10mm. You need to keep a close eye on your barrel to watch for signs of leading.

Post was up for quite some time with no replies was why I updated...

YES, in a G40 & G20 KKM barrels. There is no need for any more or different concerns loading these than any other. Always start low and work up watching for the signs. These bullets have been tested by myself at a 12 bhn average. They have been repeatedly fired into wet magazines at 800-1600 fps (same bhn / mix in a HP but not always same bullet) the magic vel is 1050-1250 fps. Past that it sheds the nose. Less and it hardly opens at all.

These are purchased as cast then powder coated and loaded. ZERO LEADING with my PB powder coated bullets to 2000 fps. (Far and away faster than any 10mm load)

1270 cause 1275 sometimes sticks in the mag.

1270 cause its as long as I can and still feed and fuction.

800X is another favorite powder in the 10. BUT ITS quick of become over pressure. Sometimes REAL WUICK!  BD can be as well but not as fast and unpredictable
As 800X. CASES are measured and not found to be excessive. Zero expansion found past chamber dims. (No bulges at all)

I worked up from 7 and altho I have some primer flow into striker its far less then underwood or Buffalo bore or even some old winchester silver tips!!

Feeding has been 100% in factory & KKM as long as I size 401. 402 is fine in favtory but not 100% in KKM.

IN MY GUN THESE LOADS ARE FINE SO FAR.

Im not looking for a top loading my target was 1150. Accuracy has also been good @ 4" @ 50 off hand me shooting.

I have a mold that drops some 205 grain bullets, but nothing near the 220 you are running.  However, I think you methodology and workup seem very reasonable and would expect Blue Dot to get you to 1100-1150 safely, as it appears you have.

I have always felt the 10mm really started to show its color at 180 grain.  The shorty forty can nip at the might 10's heels in the lighter bullets, but starting at 180 and especially by 200 or 220 grain, the forty is just plain out of gas.

What endeared me was my buddys expansion testing of these. They where very consistent in his box. Very good expansion with near 100% intact weight. Trust me, I would prefer a 200g. But then I would have to load DOWN to keep under 1200 fps.

I like 155/165 as a heavy in my 40's and a 180/200 as a heavy in my 10.  But thats with jacketed.

My 40 carbines are hitting 1300+ with 180's. I haven't shot my 10carbine in a while so dont remember there velocity's. I agree the powder cap is better suited to a 165 max in the 40.

Surprisingly there is plenty of room for the amounts Im loading. In probably 85/90% full at 8.5g. (To bottom off a seated 220g) my Last chrono @ 8.3 was over 1100 fps. So yes I am there and as long as these shoot as well. Im done Ill have my loading.

8.5g of BD netted me 1165 average from a 6" KKM barrel.

It was also 1075 from my G29 barrel!

Accuracy off had but sitting was about 5.5" @ 50 yards. I shot a few in sand bags but really need finer sights. Accuracy was about 3" with I am pretty happy with.

I caved and mounted a Vortex VENOM...

Shot about 2" @ 25 and 4" @ 50 as expected!

Very happy. Decided 1150 fps was enough.  My 170g / 1350 fps load belched fire more than this 8.5g Blue Dot loading!!

Ill give you some 5" numbers from my 1911. 220g ackerman bullet.
Starline brass, cci350s all loads at 1.260"

9g BD avg 1131fps
10g BD avg 1229fps
12.8g aa9 avg 1288fps
9g 800x avg 1276fps
11g 3n38 avg 1280fps

I powder coated 250 more.

8.5 is shooting functioning very well for me.

I just finished loading up and testing some Ibejihead hard cast coated 220s. 
I used 800X out of a 5.5inch Kriss Vector.
WLP
Crimped: .422
OAL: 1.252

7.6g avg 1134fps
8.2g avg 1227fps
8.4g avg 1246fps

Pretty happy with them although the 8.4 did show some signs of pressure and I had to throw out some of the brass afterward.  The brass was not new though.
