Afternoon thester,
Some types of ammo are only produced in quality seasonally (for hunting) )I ran into the same thing with Winchester's 10mm silver tip, according to my LGS, as well as Winchester, or...they gust don't make them anymore. Last September the Silver Tips we're back on the shelves, but not before that
Thanks

Ken

If you're here in alaska,  check out 10mm-below.com. they have them in their brick and mortar store.

My issue is that they don't expand and act like a hardcast out of my g40, good thing  in bear country,  bad for whitetail!!!

I still see them around...I think the price point is why a lot of places choose not to stock them. Ridiculous.

I do like the round though. When the grizzlies go into hibernation it's my standard cary round.

Sure wish Federal would make that bullet available as a component. I'd love to see what Underwood could do with it...

They actually do very well for me in Grizzly country I have them every other round in a Glock model 40 , until I got a kkm barrel for hardcast anyway. These things act like a jacketed hard cast

Well, I hit the jack pot the other day.  I really like this round and it is what I carry when out west bow hunting.  But like stated above, I haven't seen it for sale in any stores or any on line outlets.  Well, one vendor did have it in stock for $47.00 a box of 20. I passed on that and I have been hoarding the couple of boxes I have left.

I walked into my local gun shop the other day and checked out the usually empty ammo shelves and couldn't believe my eyes.  They had five boxes of Federal 180 grain Trophy Bonded Bear Claw ammo on the shelves for $25.00 each.  That's about what I was paying last year.  I picked up all five.

Smart guy, they might not see anymore for a very long time
