Well looking for something to get for reloading even for down the road I went to American Reloading and they had bullets I wanted. 165 and 180 gold dots and some 165g V-crown. Been looking at the v-crown for a week or so but didn't want the weight and quantity they had but today they has a lesser quantity and a weight I can use. Happy days are here again. Got the golden sabor coming from Midway. As stated before by many on this forum you have to check American at leased every few days or you could miss something. I check every day especially if I need something in particular. Craig

Craig you may want to check with Rocky Mountain Reloaders https://www.rmrbullets.com/ and even Northeast Reloaders https://www.nereloading.com/
They may have some bullets of interest...

Well I just checked and American is now out of the gold dots. Glad I got mine when I did. Shadow I went to those sites and I didn't see anything I wanted but thanks just the same. I used to use RMR a bunch of years ago but not so much anymore.  Craig

Well I just figured out this should have been posted in the 10mm section except I wanted to post about 40 caliber also!! It's the brain damage from years ago so not to worry. Looking around knowing I have 850 bullets coming I started to look at the brass situation. Lots of never loaded Starline that I expanded and set the primer. like I found 150 or so. I do have one can of 40 that's like 4000 rounds. Will do the 10 first than make a decision on the 40. I did come across like 400 loaded 10mm I don't remember loading but I did a few years ago I guess. Will keep you all posted. Craig

I'm just about done sorting from the move last fall, somehow I've acquired 1 1/2 buckets of 45acp brass over the years. Wish I had enough bullets and primers now!!!

OK just loaded 50 rounds 10mm 180g golden sabor as I don't have the others in yet. Anyway loaded them at 9.0g of Power Pistol with the max at 9.3. This is Alliants data off the net. They have raised it since I have been loading 10mm. I did a bunch at 8.0 and as I recall they seemed stout. I'll compare the two before I go to far. This just in I received a message from American that the bullets are on the way. Craig

OK got in the American order and the post office had me see them about the box coming in all screwed up and leaking bullets just handing it to me. The 165/180 500 count gold dot bag burst in the box and the box itself burst from the weight of 750 bullets.
BUMMER!!!!! I will separate the gold dots and count all the 500 that leaked then call or e-mail American to see what I can do.  Will keep you posted. Bullets are nice!!!V-crown are OK.  Craig

That's the sad thing about the heavy weight packages, they need to use heavy duty bags and better tape to secure those thin boxes!
The post office people don't care either, they have trashed stuff on purpose many times... >:(

Hey Wade and all I just separated and counted the order from American. The damage was minor and the bullet count ended up at 505 or so. Usually American adds a few extra and those were the missing ones I guess. Ha Ha Well I am happy anyway. Also the v-crowns are very nice. Craig

BTW American did e-mail me back to say if I got them a short count they would send me bullets to replace the missing ones. I thought that was very cool of them to offer. I even found a couple I had dropped when I counted so I ended up with 507 or so. Good enough.  Craig

Just loaded 50 v-chrown. Had a heck of a time finding them. I had put them in a container and was looking for the packing envelope shipping container and couldn't find them until I looked in the trash for the shipping container which was there and it tipped me off that I had switched to the Tupperware type container. ANYWAY!!! loaded all except when almost done I realized I had been pulling some of the gold dot from another container next to the v-chrown. You can't tell by looking at the bullet but there is a very slight difference in the fill material (lead) you can see.  I will look in good light as it might be 3 or 4 in question and I can right this wrong simple enough. BTW these were 165g I loaded at 10g Power Pistol.Craig
