Glock 29 barrels

I am looking for a barrel for my Glock 29. I want to shoot reloads and maybe some coated lead bullets that my Glock barrel does not like.

The only options I have found are KKM and Storm Lake. They are both the same price. Any issues with either? I know KKM has a better reputation but some people say they are not quite as reliable.  Any feedback?

Evening ryanglade,
I would be more inclined to go with the KKM personally, but that's only because the KKM for my G20 was really sweet. From research done prior to my purchase, KKM seemed like the way to go (not sure exactly why) either way, they are both great after market barrels

I too am interested in getting a KKM for my 29. Especially since they are 30 mins down the road.

So has anyone had issues with kkm barrels feeding certain types of ammo? The only negative thing I have heard of kkm is that their chamber may be too tight to feed some ammo reliably...

I have many glock barrels from KKM. For G40,G20,G29 have match and conversion barrels to 40sw.
For G23 & G35 have conversion barrels to 9mm.
Have used factory and my handloads, can not recall having any issues with them.

KMM definitely makes statements about tighter tolerances and the possibility of reliability issues compared to a OEM Glock.

I think at least part of that is just to call out the obvious to people are not technically savvy, and don't understand that in general an increase in tolerance will increase the possiblity of an interference fit with other parts (ammo).

Yeah, I have been doing some review searching. It seems there are more people that have issues with storm lake barrels than kkm, although kkm has some issues at times also. I am leaning towards the kkm.

Have a Storm Lake on a G29, have reloaded the Star Line brass 25 times & still going.  Load is 14.5 #9/180gr cast.  KKM on open G34 that works fine.                       
I'd get which ever one is cheapest.

7500 rds thru the G29 SL barrel & it has no KKM roll mark on top.  I'd say SL.  In fact I bought another  G29 & have a SL barrel for it.
