Do the Springfield 10mm's have a 2 piece chamber? I have a lightweight bi-tone in 45acp that has the 2 piece chamber, always thought that was a llittle wierd. It's never been a problem, just didn't understand why.

2 piece chamber? Unsure what you mean.

I think he means like a traditional .45 ACP 1911.

How old is that barrel?
I too never saw such.

The forum thread where that google image is sourced is from 2011, but as far as I know Springfield still does them this way.

Interesting, I assume it's mechanically fixed? IE the barrel is larger than the sleeve. Barrel is frozen sleeve is heated and fitted together. When they equalize temps it's seized in place.

I haven't seen this before but I have done the same thing with bearings and mega arms sbu billet uppers.

So the question still stands,is Springfield still doing this?

He got a TRP a while ago. From all my reading the 2 piece barrel was mainly used on gi models.

He should be able to look at his barrel and see a faint line indication g the two piece. But I bet they are all one on the 10mms they have released recently.

I've had my lightweight bitone for quite a few years now,it's not a gi model. Maybe they don't do it any more. I guess if i really must know I can email Springfield.

Sorry that it took me awhile, but heres a pic of my new TRP 6". It is indeed a 1 piece.
