I have been reloading for almost 2 years now and have been writing everything down in a notebook journal style. While I only have to keep track of my .270, 10mm, and now 6.5 Grendel, I think I can organize my data better with Excel spreadsheets. I was wondering if anyone has any handy templates they use or know of so I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

I bought a program off of Ebay years back that had several templates for "things", one of which was for reloading. The beauty of it was that you could keep several different "things" on the same program. I collect cast iron toys but wanted to keep the reloading data on the PC too. Worked great.....until the PC puked. All of the data was gone. If I had to do it all over again, I'd keep the data on a memory stick or flash drive but even those have a life expectancy.  I've gone back to the old pen and paper. I bought the MTM Reloading Log Book binder that comes with a great set of pages that's designed for reloading. Might take a look at their system. I like it a lot and no fear of losing it. I've made copies of the original sheets so I always have a bunch on hand. Here's a linky to Amazon. I use the one that is the top piece of paper. You only have to buy it one time and just make copies. I keep several originals in a file so I can always make clear copies.

Yep digital data is always susceptible to failures or even hacker disruptions.  Maintaining several backup copies helps.
Like when the Photo Bucket changed their terms and want to jack everyone on the rates, I was able to go back and rebuild most of the documentations for the pull downs...
Good luck guys!  ::)

Absolutely, anything a you can't live without needs to be backed up to a minimum of 2-3 locations. Been an IT guy for a long time, but still got bit several years back...never again

Plan is to continue writing everything down while I am at the range, the MTM hand-loaders log looks like it will be way better than my spiral notebook, then copy everything to the computer which is also backed up so if my computer crashes or SHTF I will still have my data. I found the 10mm Stat's google doc that should fit my needs for all my preferred loads.
