Gunshow bulk ammo

I bought 250 rounds at the Rockey Mountain gunshow on Sunday.  The company selling the noname ammo was Miwall.  I've heard bad things about their website, but good things about their ammo, so I figured I'd give them a try.

The ammo was 10mm 180grain JHP, and the brass labeled PPU.  It is apparently factory new Miwall brand according to my receipt.  I picked up the 250 rounds for a whopping 120 bucks.

Unscientific results after 35 rounds...  My gun was filthy.  I've never had a handgun that dirty before.   >:(  To be fair, I did have a bit too much oil in the gun, but...  just wow...

Purely speculative/foolish unscientific conjecture incoming:  I don't have a chrono, but by felt recoil, I would guess it was shooting around 1200fps (somewhere between American Eagle and Buffalo Bore).

Other than turning my precious (I've named her Agnes) into a dirty pig, the ammo shot great, pleasantly accurate for me, and no tumbling at 25 yards (max distance at the local range).

Question: What is it exactly that causes some ammo to be so much dirtier than other ammo?

Anyone else ever tried this stuff?
"Good enough" is not good enough.

If it has PPU on it that is PPU PRVI Partizan Ammo. Possibly reboxed and not real strong! Can you post a picture of the bullet end? Their HP bullets suck and won't expand... period. It's good for easy shooting paper destroying and that's about all. Plus maybe generating brass.

I have tested them a few times now including today. Some videos in this section under "gel tests" of them in action.

Here is the pic, it looks like you are correct.  I didn't see any mention of how filthy it is in your review.  Perhaps you had different results?

They are all filthy to a degree  ;D I just clean them after every visit. Most times you can pick up a box of 50 for around $21.00. SG Ammo has 500 for $199.00 deals on them. Wouldn't hurt writing PPU to tell them their ammo isn't up to 10mm spec and share your thoughts. Maybe they will change it!

PPU is dirty all around.I shoot their .45's and same as 10 in cleaning. No big deal though.

Powder composition or incomplete burn is the culprit in jacketed ammo.  Lube composition can contribute when using lead bullets.

I would guess incomplete burn combined with a less clean powder are working together here to make things extra wonderful.
