Well let me share some thing that I had been working on...Taking with Speer and begging them to make the NEW 200 grain 10mm/0.400" Gold Dot a handloaders component could be in the near future!  They kept seeing me post on their Facebook post about this and asked me to forward my mailing info.
So based on info they sent me recently the enclosed note makes mention that we may soon see them!  They also sent me a sample of bullets to work up loads with.
So my thanks to the Speer Team!  ;D

That's EXCELLENT. Thanks you for the nudging. I'll certainly be looking for it.

Funny coincidence that i was thumbing through one of my older Speer manuals a few days ago and glanced through the 10mm 200 gr data.

Anyone know if it is the same 200 grainer that they sold before it was discontinued?

That's good news! I'd like to see how they perform compared to the XTP.

Speer used to sell the Unicor 200 grain TMJ for 10mm as a component but I think they have been discontinued as such.
They have loading data for it in the older manuals and the sent me a supplement many years ago when the 10mm came about before they showed it in the manuals.
The test gun they used back then was the Delta Elite!

Here is some data from my Speer #13. It shows No. 9 powder data. We all know that the GDHP will consume more case volume for a given COL, so adjustments to charge weights should be considered if using this data.

My copy of Speer #11 was printed in 88, but no 10mm load data. I don't have a #12 to compare.

Of course, 200 gr data was dropped from the #14 manual.

With the sample of Speer 200 Grain Gold Dot bullets that the Speer Team sent to me, I noticed that the bullet has a gentle stepped section just below the ogive at a diameter of 0.3980" about 0.2250" to 0.2650" below the nose.

It is likely a two fold step for helping with expansion control and providing a section for the crimp to hold to.

I ordered a copy of the Speer #12 manual.

Here is that version of the 200 gr 10mm data. Appears identical to the #13 data.

Very good news for sure!!

Im hoping they will bring back the 200gr TMJ as well....

Well today was a testing day:  S&W 1006 5" using Speer 200 grain Gold Dot over 8.4 grains of BE-86, OAL was 1.2550", Brass was Federal Nickle (used), my goal was to achieve 1200 fps...

My first test shot 1231 fps, second test shot 1227 fps, so I met my goal.  Brass looked good and primers slightly flatten.  Case expansion was 0.4280".
Based on the results that Mr. Revolver Guy got using this data, I will be dropping this load to 8.2 grains for a little extra margin of SAFTEY!

mr.revolverguy

Thank you for all of the effort, pushing speer and testing. Hopefully speer will not take to long to make them available to us.

Just think I was getting to deconstruct 5 or so of these to test in gel and across the chronograph. Maybe I will wait.

mr.revolverguy, check your email as I sent you a short message and waiting for your reply... :D

This will be a welcome addition for sure!

Speer is one that always seems to discontinue bullets I LOVE! I can probably name a dozen that I dearly loved and use/used that are now gone.

My biggest pet peeve for buying there products...
