Cant find much of anything google searching. Some bad reviews of the older jr carbines from years ago but nothing at all as far as reviews of the 10mm version. I have a guy that wants to trade me his for an ar15 i was going to part with. Its a good deal on my end if the jr carbine runs but if its a pos i would rather avoid the hassle. If anyone owns one in 10mm or knows of an honest review someone elae has done please let me know. They guy says he only ran 2 mags threw it and it ran fine but he is the one that wants to get rid of it so. I have no idea if he is being honest.

They're all basically the same gun, regardless of caliber. I have the 9mm version and have been struggling to get it to run since last October. Even if it runs perfectly, cleaning these things is pain. The buffer tube has to be removed to get the bolt out. You'll need an AR armorers wrench for that. Or, for an additional $75 you can buy their quick release kit. The bolt handle must also be unscrewed. To do a thorough cleaning, you must also remove three allen screws holding the mag well and pistol grip/trigger unit. Those are 2 separate pieces. All screws must be retreated with blue Loctite periodically or they will vibrate loose during use. Over tightening the screws isn't a good idea as you will be taking them out often over the life of the gun. They are dirty little beasts because of the blowback action.

The ability to switch sides for ejection and the bolt handle is nice, which is why I bought it. Caliber switching is expensive and not as easy as some other designs.

If I had it to do over again I wouldn't buy one of these. While they retail for more than many entry level ARs, I don't believe they are of the same value. Think of this as a gun that cost about $200-$250 more than it's worth.

Thanks for the honest review. It's unfortunate that the design was not better thought out. I want to want this gun but i have this voice in the back of my head saying " dont do it".

If you dont mibd me asking what problems have you had getting yours to run?

Out of the box it was jamming on at least 2 rounds per mag. I switched to left side ejection and then it started failing to eject, as well. 1 trip back to the factory, that I had to pay for, solved the feeding issues, mostly. Two free extractors later and some light file work, by me, and it now feeds correctly. I had to run it without an extractor to figure out the ejection problem. Then I had to file the ejector plate to shorten it up and take a slight radius out of it that was causing the empties to hit the next round and stay in the bolt. It was ramming the empties straight forward above the chamber, like a double feed. Sometimes it did that sideways, as well. Lots of ruined ammo/brass, trips to the range, frustration, and I still don't completely trust it.

I plan on using it in the PCC class at a steel shoot next Saturday, if the weather is decent. That'll be it's first real test for it's intended purpose.

Almost forgot to mention. The trigger was horrible when I got it. I could pull the trigger 1/8", let go, and it would just stay there. Way too much take up and almost no reset. That was rectified on its return to the factory. Still not great, but good enough for the intended purpose.

If you can work out a way to shoot it before you make the trade, it would probably be in your best interest. It may run like a champ. Then it's just the cleaning issue.

Ya i had to pass on the jrc. 10mm carbine would be very cool but to many horror storys about these guns. Ended up trading for a fn fnx 45 and a bunch of extras instead. Thanks for your help

I've been looking at the Hi Point 10mm. Nothing but good reviews.

You ought to check the NRA review. Accuracy was quite a bit less than ideal and the conclusion was that it was best used at 25-30 yards. Not a problem for a short range stopper but unacceptable to me.

Tough to say from a sample of one. Seemed to not like cheap ammo but did ok with better quality stuff. That's not too unusual. I'd give one a try if I run across one. Handloads can work wonders.
