Glad to hear it.  I'm close to a couple of people who have been going through cancer treatments and seem to be close to the point they can say the same.  An Uncle of mine was recently diagnosed with a particularly rare form of skin cancer that supposedly is virtually impossible to get rid of.  He's going through some experimental treatment for that and so far doing better than expected.

Hope things turn out for you better than expected!
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

They will......if I ever get out of this nursing home!
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Gandog is not sure how to take a photo with his cellphone or upload it.

He has an LG GU295.  If you can coach him through snapping the pic and then texting it to you...

Where did you find out I have an LG GU295?

My google-foo is strong   ;D

gandog56

No, really, because I do NOT remember mentioning what phone I ever had....did I?

d762nato, mighty nice looking stuff there.  I want to think that C-bob looks very familiar.  Oops, just saw your other post in response to mine.  Yup, it does look familiar.  Beautiful gun.

I'm down to just one 10 and it's a NH - Talon.

Bobtail, all black, reverse crown barrel.  Had it about two months now with roughly 1000 rds. through it.

Should be at the house tomorrow, I'll try to remember to take a pic.

Guess all experiences with the upper end NH aren't great. It's like that in every MFG I think!

In reading this review I somehow wonder if his was a little break-in related? I know my first time out with my Razorback it locked solid and made me want to throw it down the range. Thoughts on his issues?

This is my second NH and both have been exquisite in fit, finish, operation, etc, etc.  In replacing the grips on my T# I encountered a bushing that had been set in thermo-nuclear grade loctite and I boogered up the bushing.  My mistake, not theirs.  I was installing new bushings anyway, so no big deal.

I own and have owned, a lot of 1911's, including LB's, DW's, Springers, Colts, etc, no Wilson's or Ed Brown's, but for me the NH is absolutely tops.

Dang it! Fusion sent a bushing wrench and extra different poundage springs with my Long slide. I was cleaning all my packages my mom just threw on the bed. Both me and my brother saw the durned packaged goodies, but could not find where we had stuffed them after we cleared the bed. I have 2 other bushing wrenches and could find NEITHER of those either. Result is, no pics of a cartridge in the barrel. Still not strong enough to do it without the wrench, and my brother has NO idea how to field strip a 1911.

Is your mom a shooter, or does she leave the shooting to you and your brother?

My brother has one gun, a Hi-Point .45 that was an absolute POS when I got it. It literally would NOT go through a single magazine without some failure to something, usually 2-3 times. He used it as a one shot shark dispatcher since the one thing it DID do right was go bang if it DID chamber a cartridge. Later he found some part in it that was damaged. He is MUCH more mechanically inclined as I am. (I whup the crap outta him in electricity/electronics, we're even!) He even fabricated a new part from a piece of scrap steel. Stupid gun never felt good in my hands, so it's OK I gave it to him. My SA 1911A` GI felt sooooo much better. Of course my mom hates guns, hates the fact I have a crapload of them, doesn't even like to see the boxes of ammo in my bedroom.
