Let the games begin  ;D

It sucks having to wait until it's over to see if anything surfaces first  :(  S&W hasn't gotten much ink lately... time to step it up!!!

I will keep an eye out for 10's. Nothing in here:

Only thing that I'm really looking forward to is more info on this: https://www.ammoland.com/2019/01/fightlite-mxr-subgun-product-announcement/#axzz5dHPiTg47
Definitely be interested in the 10mm, and 5.7X28 versions, especially if it is offered in, or easily convertable to an SBR.

That Colt King Cobra looks nice! I will try to find a video on it.

Great link.  First place I have seen the Steyr A2 update.

I hope the King Cobra is a better offering than the new Cobra is.

Agreed, I have an excellent condition '67 Cobra I wouldn't trade for 2 of the new ones.

All the pics I've seen of the new King Cobra show a fixed (trench style) rear sight. Colts website doesn't mention if it's even available with an adjustable rear sight option. Seems kind of pointless without it.

I didn't even notice the lack of adjustable sights....Hell, even the old Colt Trooper had adjustable sights.

Come one Colt...

That is what turned me off of it as well. When I first saw the picture I was ready to buy one. Then I looked closer and no rear sight? Then realized that it must be one of those slow to use, less accurate channel sights. I had an AMT Hardballer .45 ACP back up pistol years ago that had a rear channel sight. I hated it. That was the only reason that I sold it. Now, if only they'd hire some master gunsmiths, retool, and produce a new Python. I'd be all over that. If a German company can make the Korth Combat revolver, Colt can reproduce their own Python. Based on the old ones selling on Gunbroker for $3,000, I'd pay $3,000 for a brand new in the box Python and so would a lot of other people.

I have no problem with channel sights....On compact and highly concealable guns like a detective or chiefs special, an AMT backup sized auto, SP-101, etc.

On anything big enough to be outside of the pocket pistol space, it should have a proper blade.  And on a King Cobra class "target" handgun, it should be adjustable.  I have personal opinions on the real utility of adjustable sights on a handgun, but regardless it doesn't change the fact that on this class of handgun, adjustable is the standard.

Equally interesting that it's first offering is a 3" barrel. Makes me wonder if it's meant as a competitor for the 3" K6S...? I'd own one of those right now if Kimber made it with an exposed hammer...

FWIW, Grabagun has the new King Cobra listed for about $840.
