10mm powder for compensators

I am not new to reloading but not a guru either. I just picked up a Glock 29 and just ordered a barrel and comp from kkm. I know loads make a big difference in 9mm pistols and compensators. Does anyone have experience with loading for compensated 10mm guns?

Mostly looking for powder recommendations. I load 200gr when I can find them or else it is 180gr projectiles.

I have no experience loading for compensated pistols, save my 460 S&W, however, Winchester makes a powder called Autocomp. It was supposedly designed to produce more gas for compensated pistols.

I don't run any Compensators on my tens...The compensator works with high gas volumes and most of the upper end loadings will produce the gas needed.
Upper end loads of Longshot, Blue Dot (may produce too much flash), A#9, A#7
Powders like Auto Comp, although on the faster burning side, was design for compensators and could also produce the results needed.

You will need to study the fired brass, the compensator reaction and recoil and slide cycle, to fine tune your loadings. Probably is better to just work with some of the known loadings and see how they perform for you.

You might want to think about BE-86. Assuming you're planning on using it as a carry gun and most bad things happen at night, a flash suppressed powder might be just the ticket. A few years ago a friend of mine and I shot a ported 3" Springfield at the range with the lights off. We were both seeing spots for half an hour. No accurate follow up shots after the first one were possible.

Graybeard, that was one reason I didn't include Power Pistol because of the flash signature... ${$default_roll_eyes_smiley}$
Yes BE-86 may work well but getting those 200's up and moving may be a chore.

Autocomp, as mentioned, should work well.... that's what it was designed for
Been loading in 45acp for a while now since back when there was a powder shortage ( and I bought quite a bit )
burns a bit cleaner than Unique

Thanks for the recommendations. I would have replied sooner but was relying on my notifications to let me know people replied, however it never did.

I have really only played with power pistol and blue dot for 10, I will try some of these other options. I also agree, most any high end load should work well just did not know if someone found any that worked especially good.

I have a 5" Heinie (sp?) barrel and comp from an aborted 1911 bubba gun I was building in 10mm. While I did get it shooting I never got it to be reliable by any definition.
What I did learn was that full tilt loads with 155gr XTPs and Accurate #7 would produce reverse muzzle flip! (Maybe dip?). It literally would hit the top of your trigger finger.

IMHO You have a LOT of gas to make your comp work with the 10mm
