I picked up another box of this Armscor ammo on sale. So just for the heck of it I pulled one down.
This newer lot of ammo is a little faster and has 0.2 grs. more powder than the last lot I looked at.

WHY DO THEY CALL IT COMMON SENSE WHEN IT IS SO UNCOMMON?

The powder appears to be Hodgdon Tight Group although showing a little more than Hodgdon's 6.0 max @ 1140 fps
The ones I pulled also showed 6.4 grains, glad to see them match up, it would be easy to just take a known Tight Group load and replace the powder and test for same velocity.

Hey
I have been curious about that.. Maybe I'll try it.

Hey
I was getting ready to do some experiments with Titegroup and the Armscor rounds, when I thought it wise to look at these two powders, factory and Titegroup side by side..

This is the factory powder;

And this is Titegroup;

I'm having trouble identifying these two as the same..
The factory powder is certainly something very similar to Titegroup..  I was measuring expansion on the fired cases and all of them measured just under .4350"...  Well over .4340".. In fact one case had a smiley.  Pressure on these rounds is really up there!..  Now I'm not familiar with Armscor brass.. Maybe it's too soft?

I might try 6.2grs. Titegroup in a pulled Armscor round and see how it goes.

RDub, interesting and thanks for posting the pictures.  Tite Group has very irregular flatten ball shapes as the were flattened.  In the Armscor picture some balls show that look like they were not flattened much or at all and the size of those balls showing are different sizes.
Tite Group is one of faster burning powders and small changes can push higher pressures up.  As I read of those having issues with blown case heads or primers, many were using progressive presses with Tite Group, where powder drops could vary.  It seems they were working at the upper ranges which didn't leave much room for the small upward changes.
While this powder has some good uses, I not really a fan for it trying to push heavy 10mm projectiles.

I like the increased velocity you saw I'm your testing. The one box I acquired a few years ago was loaded to right at 1000fps.

This is the in-stock 10mm ammo for our local indoor range, I am thinking lite and cheap. My son used it on his break-in of the Kriss Vector and  Sig P220 that he bought there. It was under $20 for a box of 50...
