Has anyone tried the 200gr WFN-GC bullet from Montana Bullet Works? I am specifically interested in how it feeds in a 1911A style pistol. I have been using XTP bullets and would like to switch to hard cast. I didnt want to buy them if they wont feed. Thanks in advance for your input.

They are next on the list for me. Have taken 3 deer with 155gr cross using stiff load of blue dot. Now am pushing my 40 MOS with 180 gr xtps and 800x. 200gr Montana bullets are next. Looking at the WFN plain bade bullets due to the wider meplat.

I have not purchased the MBW offering, but I cast my own bullets using what looks to be the identical LBT mold. I load them to 1250 fps in a stock gen3 G20, and get very good accuracy. Only issue is that I can't get more than 11-12 rounds in a mag before they want to bind. Not a big deal.

If wanting to go full house, you might consider the heat treated alloy. I also recommend ordering them coated.

Here are some of mine.

Montana also has a .300 meplat 200 grain bullet. I don't think it's on the website yet but it's from the mihec mold and I can seat to 1.250" and not get binding issues.

Call Bruce up and ask for them.
