Springfield Armory will be releasing the RO Elite in 10mm. The 10mm resurgence continues.

This is a sharp looking 1911 and at competitive price.  The XD adds diversity and is more of a win to our community, but this is a good looking 1911, at least to me.  Even with those front cocking serrations.

From what I've read, they don't seem to be able to make a 10mm that recognizes the word "reliable" Count me out.

Maybe I'm just used to lighter pistols, but 41oz empty weight seems really heavy... oh well, to each their own, I guess.
"The meek shall inherit the Earth" is a mistranslation. Properly translated it would say: "Those who have swords and know how to use them, but keep them sheathed, shall inherit the Earth". Carry every day.

Oh, yeah.  This is the main reason Glock's stay in the holster.  I really love 1911's and DA/SA autos, but don't care for toting an anchor around all the time.

From a carry perspective I agree totally, from a shooting perspective you appreciate the extra weight shooting full house 180 gr 10mm loads resulting in a smooth recoiling platform as is the case with my Kimber 10mm LS Target II. I don't notice my Kimber's empty weight of 42 oz until I immediately handle my FNX45T thereafter. LOL

If there is a non-railed version coming, I'll get interested.

I have one and it is absolutely reliable and hell-a-accurate. It flings empty brass about 10 yards though. It appears that they got rid of their horrible ILS so the trigger is good to go.
