Shadow and Chopinbloc I just got these today and will get a couple out to each of you. Interesting the 10mm is now rated on a 5" barrel like all the others  :o

It hurt like getting a swift kick in the jewels spending for them but I still wanted some more answers.

I'm hoping to get my Chronograph all ready to test them all this weekend.

Sounds like some fun in the making!  I need a break from the rain and hail storms down here!  Storming as I type!  I'm almost caught up on the re-install of data on my new hard drive after the crash of the other main drive.  So I need some better weather to get out and do some velocity testing of the pull-down stuff...

As mentioned elsewhere I'm curious as to the 10mm 200gr Nolser results (all of:  velocity, expansion, penetration depth, and tear down).
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Make that two of us.

I plan on sending them Tuesday with some others. I can't remember what's there now :-\

Supposedly that 200 grain 10mm bullet was designed by Nosler specifically for them.

I looked back and Mr.Redbull got 1153 FPS on the 200 Noslers. Let's see what I get this week.

I'm curious.  Think you'll put a few through the Hunter and/or RZ-10 for velocity results?

DoubleTap boxes are only 20 which kind of stinks. 2 for Shadow, 2 for Chopinbloc and 5 for the Match. I could do 2 in one of the others.

I'm curious also what you think of the 10mm-200 grainers. I was thinking about picking some of these up for deer hunting.
What platform do you intend to fire them out of?

Went today using EAA Witness Match 4.75", EAA Hunter 6", Ruger Redhawk 7.5" and XD 9mm 4". Once again DoubleTap let me down but all my pistol/revolvers functioned awesome. Makes me want another EAA piece  :o This is after the Chrony rebuild with the Hillbilly setup on it which I love to death. Numbers aren't much different for the ones retested.

Setup with Ruger Mark III 5.5" barrel using Federal 745 36gr .22LR: 1045, 1044, 1045, 1050, 1059. Average = 1048.6 FPS/ 88 LBS

10mm
PPU 180gr JHP (Match): 1032, 1029, 1007, 1013, 1044, 1028. Average = 1025.5 FPS/ 420 LBS
PBR 165 FMJ V-Supreme (Match): 1356, 1334, 1377, 1358, 1342. Average = 1353.4 FPS/ 671 LBS
Winchester 175 Silvertip (Match): 1216, 1220, 1212, 1190. Average = 1209.5 FPS/ 569 LBS
DoubleTap 200 Nosler (Match): 1151, 1160, 1143, 1159, 1165. Average = 1155.6/ 593 LBS
DoubleTap 200 Nosler (Hunter): 1218, 1209. Average = 1213.5 FPS/ 654 LBS
PPU 180gr JHP (Hunter): 1067, 1088, 1069, 1068, 1065, 1069. Average = 1071 FPS/ 469 LBS
Winchester 175 Silvertip (Hunter) 1299, 1266, 1291, 1263, 1281. Average = 1280 FPS/ 637 LBS
PBR 165 FMJ V-Supreme (Hunter) 1429, 1421, 1437, 1423, 1417. Average = 1425.4 FPS/ 745 LBS

In 10mm the DoubleTap couldn't hit the box flap even in a 6" barrel. Expect 1200 FPS in a 5"!  ??? ??? ??? ???

Intercooler

  As for the .44 Magnum:

DoubleTap 240gr JSP (Redhawk): 1375, 1385, 1366, 1363. Average = 1372.5 FPS/ 1004 LBS. A cool 125 FPS off on this one with same box flap revolver they list  :'( :'(
DoubleTap 300gr Nosler (Redhawk): 1262, 1250, 1252. Average = 1254.66 FPS/ 1049 LBS. Only 75 FPS off flap rating on this one  :o

Okay. All my DoubleTap questions are answered now and not another penny spent!

Intercooler

This one is mainly for Shadow and that early Underwood 9mm you tore down that I thought was like +P:

Winchester NATO 124gr FMJ (XD): 1203, 1181, 1201, 1165, 1213, 1210, 1208. Average = 1197 FPS/ 395 LBS
Underwood 124gr JHP (Old) (XD): 1254, 1259, 1244, 1244, 1261, 1242. Average = 1250.66 FPS/ 431 LBS
Underwood 115gr FMJ (Old) (XD): 1288, 1313, 1302, 1283, 1301, 1309. Average = 1299.33 FPS/ 431 LBS

The_Shadow

My Handloads using those 260 grain Devastators as tested by you showed some good results as compared to the DT stuff...
1454 fps was your average... ;D
