200gr Nosler by Underwood is very good medicine for personal defense
IMHO.  Used it to take a large hog couple years ago fired out of G20.
Worked like a lightning bolt on that occasion.
Not sure what recoil would feel like for follow up shots using your G29 but
Its a very potent round.

While undoubtably intrigued by the Underwood extreme defense series potential, I'm
not quite ready to walk around the street with it just yet.  2'+ of penitration is
still pretty deep for everyday around town situations imho and still gives me pause.

Something that caught my eye when shooting for groups this week was some of the 115gr 40 caliber Lehigh Xtreme Defense bullets out of my 10mm long slide. Per the book, I'm getting 1525'ps from a 4.5" barrel using CFE powder so I assume the long slide is a tad more. I was expecting round holes in the paper, they weren't round as such. It looked like you pushed a phillips screw driver thru the paper. I was expecting round holes like any other bullet. Accuracy at 25 yds was 1.25" from bags. Considering where I travel, a confrontation is normally at a distance, not face to face. An inch and a quarter is acceptable accuracy. While I can't say that this R1 pistol has been flawless, it's pretty close to having living quarters permanently in the truck. It's really starting to come together.

Rojo, follow up shots with any of Underwoods 200's required a strong grip for sure. But honestly I cant say it's that much worse than a Glock 27 .
