Any of you own, or have shot the GLOCK G45 G5 9mm?
Thanks

Well... nobody else has jumped in so I will.  Have not handled/shot one in person yet.  It gives me the impression it is the next step in the slow evolution of Glocks. The X19 was to meet a military spec which does not make a handgun necessarily better.  While the G17 grip and the G19 slide is lost on the guys who CCW it works fine everywhere else (Though so would an OEM G17 or OEM G19).  So maybe it is the best of both worlds for non CCW.  Or maybe it is a solution looking for a problem to solve.  Dunno.  But I like the simplicity and clean lines.  Trigger is supposed to be pretty good.

Guess all I am suggesting is it does not seem to be a gimmick gun but an honest effort to improve the breed.  Time and a few million rounds in practice, class and competition will reveal what Glock has really done here.

haven't shot one yet but fondled a few in the lgs. Buddy just got a 19X so i will shoot that next week. I might b the only one who thinks they got it backwards, i want a 17 top and a 19 bottom. I wear inside the waisteband, so for ccw the only thing i worry about is the grip/frame showing, the slide is inside...but im weird, i also carry my glock 40 iwb,lol...

Thanks guys, I'm an OWB fan other than at Church. In that situation my G30 works well with the Comp Tac for inside the waistband carry

I used to question why anyone would want more handle and less barrel/slide radius.

Two things have changed.  First, I got older and am more tolerant of the idea that there may be many "right" answers.  Two, I carry appendix a good bit of the time, where a longer barrel/slide digs in when I sit, but a longer grip doesn't really matter at all.

I still like that standard Glock 19 best of the 9mm Glocks (and still carry a Glock 29 almost all the time, I mean....), but I can see where a G45/19X fits in the world now.

For really concealed carry I now have a Glock 27.

I have had one for a few months now,I am enjoying it greatly and it has been my primary carry after I put about 50" rounds of various ammo with zero issues, love the lack of finger grooves and much easier for me to get my hands on than the G19 I usually carry. So far so good

Perhaps this is going "full-retard", but I am growing increasingly fond of my G27 with a full size G22 magazine and an x-grip grip extender.

I bought these to carry as my back-up mags for the G27.  But they fit the hand fine so when I am wanting light weight and don't care about printing, I find I just put the 15 round magazine in and go.
