I'm interested in XDm 10mm brass distance versus other MFG's

When someone gets one and shoots it with some real 10mm ammo, please post up how far and where it throws it. I can't really make it out in the videos and reviewers never tell us!

It does look like the Grand Power 10mm dumps them to the right and not too far away. I'm kind of wondering what's done different there for ejector?

Ditto. And I would like to know how the XDm handles real 10mm ammo.

One thing I noticed about the Springfield XD is it is a noncaptive recoil setup, I like that feature and it would make recoil spring swaps and or tuning easy... :D

It's handling the good stuff just fine! I wonder if the GP throws it less since the brass expands at the barrel end versus primer end? It takes a little more to jerk it out and slows things down?

I think it is the action itself that slows things down. A bit more time in the rotation than in a Browning design. That's what I think anyway. (and it has been too long since I took physics in College)

My Springfield 1911 10mm -- when it deigns to cycle and fire a shot -- threw brass about 30 or 40 feet to the five o-clock position.     That complicates recovery as where I shoot, that's far enough to scatter them in mud and weeds.   And when they hit, they're still going fast enough to bounce around irregularly.  No pretty pile here to walk over and pick up.   This is with "real" 1250 fps factory ammo, or equivalent handloads.

Couple of data point for you -

200gr WFNGC w/ 13.3gr AA#9 tossed brass about 25-30' (Approx 1252fps thru my Match Elite 5" Barrel)
165gr FMJ w/ 8.8gr True Blue tossed brass about 15-20' (Approx 1208fps thru my RIA 5" barrel)
180gr XTP w/ 10.4gr Blue Dot tossed brass about 15-20' (Approx 1222fps thru my Match Elite 5" Barrel)

Shooting my 29, out of 10 rounds I usually only find 4 or 5 cases. No rhyme nor reason the way it throws brass

Ruger 1911, 26lb recoil spring, 34lb main spring, flat bottom fps and shortened ejector will toss about 8 feet with a 220 at just under 1200fps

Comped glock longslide with 24lb recoil spring with the same 220 slug at 1400fps (uber nuclear) will only toss 3-4 feet.

13.5 gr of aa#9 under a 180 grain xtp in my new xdm 10mm 4.5 throws brass about 20 feet. Got 50 more loaded up with 13.7 gr. See if they go any further.

Well just an observation for you, I cant make a measurement because I havent shot it outside yet.

At the range the other day it was flinging them off the wall of the shooting lane so hard they were bouncing back and smacking my buddy waiting behind me a good 6'

That's 6 foot of bounce after hitting a rubberized wall that usually stops my 45 cases pretty well dead. O.o flings it almost like my P220 10mm, to the next county.

Solid 20 feet with XDM 5.25 straight to the right.

The load was a max load of Power Pistol with a 180 grain Montana Gold HP new Starline brass.

I can't help you with the XD, but I can tell you  my EAA Witness was dangerous to anyone at my 3:00, those things would go 70 feet on a low arc, and I actually bonked a couple people in the lanes next to mine.  One guy was two lanes over and said it pinged off his pistol and he was getting ready to fire, scared the snot out of him.  I got tired of making apologies for my gun's bad manners and sold it!   ::)
Anyone who actually believes Joe Biden got 81 Million votes is either delusional, an idiot, or a Democrat.  And likely all three.

Sig V-crown 180gr fmj, I think it's advertised at 1250fps, went 30-40 ft to the 4:00 position. That's out of a stock xdm 5.25. I've gotta 22lb spring coming to see if that helps.
