Changing slides

Hey y'all   I am a newbie to this forum from Jacksonville, Fl. I'm  not new to Glocks but I am new to the 10mm. My question is can I put a G20 slide on a G40 frame and have it function properly? It looks to me like the front of the frame is shaped differently on the G40. Thanks in advance....

It's the same frame as long as they are both Generation 4 Glocks.
