I bought a few boxes of this stuff off Midway because it was priced well.  It has some issues.

First and foremost, the stuff was not crimped well at best and at worst almost felt like it was still beveled from bullet seating.  It did not feed well AT ALL in my Delta Elite and I've never had issues with this particular gun.  I could feel the case mouth where the bullet was seated and the problem was obvious.  I reload, so I was able to run them through my factory crimp die and they have ran 100% after that.  Probably 70-80 rounds.  All three boxes had this issue.

The other issue was velocity.  The box says 1250 fps, but when I put them on the chrono I was getting 1400+ fps!  I was extremely nervous when I saw this.  I did not see any pressure signs so I finished out that box.  When I started the next box it chrono'ed at @1200 fps.  All I can figure is they put the wrong (lighter) bullet in the first box of ammo.  With my unsupported chamber, at that speed a 180 grain bullet would likely blow out the case.  Unfortunately, I know that from experience.

I think the bullets are Zero brand bullets.  They look like some nasty hollow points, but, from what I've read anyway, they are actually just made for target shooting.

IMO, this is decent ammo for the money if you want real 10mm ammo but not nuclear IF you have access to a factory crimp die and press.  Otherwise, I wouldn't take the risk.

Dave how close were you to the Chronograph?  Don't thing Fiocchi is loading any lighter 10mm projectiles...If you have any left you could pull and measure the bullet weight to see. ???
Sometimes if you are inside of 10', the powder particulate can out run the bullet and start the timing circuit, causing erroneous readings.   :-[
The crimps not being finished properly can cause the issue of poor feeding as the edge is catching or dragging as it tries to enter the chamber.

I generally set up 5 yards with a pistol and 7 yards away with a rifle.  I shot 20 rounds through the chrono and they were all @ 1400 in that box.  IDK.  I've tested the other two boxes the same way and got @1200 on both of them.  Maybe my chrono was just going crazy that day but it was consistently crazy.  I shot up all that ammo and didn't show any signs of dangerous pressure.

Did they feel like 1400fps 180s? I have a DE,too. Also just started using 180gr Zero HPs reloading. I would expect a noticeable difference in recoil between 1200 and 1400fps loads.

They did not feel any differently, though I felt like they had more blast but I could have just gotten used to it.  The lack of increased recoil is the reason I felt like they might have had lighter bullets in them.

Too bad you didn't pull one and weigh it. Might have been a lighter bullet. RMR, and others, sell pulled bullets from factory ammo all the time.

I recently had two friends that had problems with Remington UMC 9mm 115gr FMJs. M&P wouldn't go fully into battery and Glock jammed up. Pulled apart 2 cartridges and the brass was .880 and .881 long. COAL was a little long on both, as well. Even the big companies have mistakes that slip by.

Just bought 2 boxes of these and fully intend to try deer hunting with them. They group well and although I do no own a chrono, seat of the pants make me believe 1250 fps. They are def hotter than my magtechs.

Well 1 shot 1 kill. Shot a doe head on thru the brisket and she dropped in her tracks. I was hunting on the ground and with the upward angle it took out lungs and lodged in the spine. Did not pull out the bullet to inspect as it was late and I shot it for a friend and just didn't want to do an autopsy. Next one I shoot will be for me and I will dig out the bullet.

Congratulations on the harvest Bakerby!

Hope you get another.  Looking forward to the details and pictures (hopefully)!

Well I shot a medium sized Buck on Friday broadside at about 35yds. Thru heart at an angle and the bulley fell out from between skin and muscle when I skinned him. Bullet mushroomed perfectly I will post a pic when I get back home as I am on a trip until Wednesday. Tracking sucked as he ran just shy of 100 yds and no blood for first 60. To be expected from single hole no exit heart shot. Anyhow these seem to be on par with Sig 180 grn HPs from what I have read. Very similar to my experience with 44 mag 180 grain federal HPs ( 29 yrs worth) except the 44 would occasionally exit. These are a viable hunting round for cheap.
