After shooting up a few boxes of Underwood's 10mm 135gr Nosler JHP at 1600 fps (so much fun) I'm confident I will like the 9x25 Dillon, once I can track down a barrel of my liking.
Thanks

I have a Lone Wolf 3.8" 9x25 barrel for my 29. People kept saying it was worthless that short, blag blah. It's no more worthless than a 357 Sig lol

Anyway, I got some Underwood 125gr Bonded Noslers, and they clocked 1520 out of that short barrel ! The 9x25 is s lot of fun, but it seems a lot louder than a lot of cartridges. I made a mistake of going out one nights trying to shut up barking dogs, and I shot 4 or 5 rounds in the ground. Did it without thinking about my ears. Now I have a permanent ringing that never goes away.

Absolutely, I'm very careful when it comes to ear protection, yet I have a bit of the same thing

Kenk,
I like the way you think! I recently received a Bar sto barrel for my G20 and dies are on the way!

Thanks, what do the get for their barrels, 200ish?

After a VERY long fight with USPS (that I lost BTW [emoji35]) I finally have my G29 extended/threaded Bar Sto barrel in 9x25. It measures out at 4.375" in length and is truly a work of art.

Irv and his team have been fantastic to work with even getting in the middle of my fight with ISPS to get my "lost" barrel issue resolved.

Because of their diligence and taking care of me on a replacement barrel, I am a customer for life.

My next venture will be to send him my Rock Island Ultra HC to be fitted with an extended/threaded barrel. I'm working on it being my primary handgun hunting rig and it will be shot suppressed.

Anyway, I took in to the range today and ran about 75 rounds through it with no issues. Although I just ordered a Wolff 21 & 23# recoil springs and guide rod for it. The Double Tap rounds I ran through it today were very snappy and it was uncomfortable to shoot when suppressed; presumably from the additional slide speed. It was also unlocking prematurely as I was getting powder in the face when shooting suppressed.

All in all I was impressed and look forward to carrying it in the future.

Wow. That is nice!

I rarely win anything with USPS. But it is known, they have theft. Big time on small packages.

I have a couple of Bar-Sto barrels however mine are for the S&W1006 one is 40S&W conversion, the other is 9x25Dillon conversion.  Both of which I hand fitted to my slide and then to the frame's takedown/slide lock.  Great barrels!

I packaged my factory slide assembly and new barrel up in a small flat rate box so they could fit the barrel to the slide. When Irv called me he asked what barrel I wanted fitted. [emoji15]

I asked him what the package looked like and he said it looked perfect, all sealed up nicely with shipping tape.

Only I didn't seal it with shipping tape. [emoji35]

Somebody had opened the package and taken the brand new barrel out.

Since it was fully insured I filed a claim. They asked for me to take the package to my local post office for inspection.

Uhhhhhh..... I can't do that, I don't have the package. So Irv and his team took it up to their post office.

They promptly denied my claim and 3 appeals with no appeals left. Then they would not release the package back to Irv for 6 months. He went up there every week for 6 months to try and get my package with my factory slide assembly back so he could build and fit a new barrel.

They finally released it to him last week and he shipped it back to me.

This whole ordeal started in March of 2018.

Mike D, I have had some packages trashed and lost by USPS in the past.  They were usually heavy with bullets headed to me, that were trashed and all I got was a destroyed empty box.  When I ship any package these days It is secured heavily inside and out with tape trying to eliminate content movement and I also add shipping address inside as well.  The shipping companies are known for rough handling of packages as though they want them to bust open.  This time of the year is the worst shipping anything!  Also packages with insurance are like a target, so it seems and then they don't want to pay the insurance money either.

Well written, it speaks truth. I could write amazing, but the real word is COMMON.

Key = small flat rate box. Somehow those are magnets for thieves at all levels. I own a small business, and after one or three disappear in a short span - it is NOT "lost mail", it is theft, pure and simple. And USPS knows it. There is a reason they won't even let you insure International small flat rate boxes. It's worth the couple more bucks to put such items in a more cube shaped box.

It's not that they are ALL crooks, but difficult to control an individual, or two in cohoots. Mostly USPS is incompetent. But the rates are low, and we have used then exclusively for 10 years. It's funny - now we can almost see when a thief is hired at a location.

Funny side note, some mail carriers have trained their dogs to sniff cash. They caught more than one guy doing this - using a sting operation - grannies $5 didn't make it to you on your birthday. :)) Be suspicious when mail truck is parked at his home for awhile!!

The Double Tap 9x25 ammo doesnt meet its advertised velocity and chronos 100 fps behind Underwood. Same weight bullets, same gun, same barrel, same chrono, same day. Double Tap has gone to poop.

Yeah I don't doubt that. I can't say that I've ever had a single load of theirs meet advertised velocity. To my knowledge though, they are the only one offering the 125 grain Gold Dot bullet in the 9x25. Plus when I get coupons for 40% off + free shipping it's kinda hard to pass up.

I recently bit the bullet and bought a set of dies and as soon as my house is completed I'll be able to load my own.
