Almost out of the gun game

Not by choice, and not permanently though.

The renovations to our home are about to begin.  As a final step, my gunsafe and most of my guns went into long term storage on Saturday where they will be very difficult to access for the next 4 months or so.  I kept out 4 of my five 10mm handguns, one of my M1 Garands and my Remington 700.

All my other guns are now stowed.  I can only access them by going up a ladder and through a window, as the gunsafe was positioned to block the door to the room it is stored in.

Of course, on Sunday, while nursing the aches and pains a 42 year old gets when they move a 1015 lb gun safe, I realized all my 22 rifles are in the safe, and I have a training in March that probably requires a 22 rifle.  Maybe they will let me train with a Garand...Not sure.

Hopefully by summer we will be far enough along I can move the safe to it's final resting place in my new home office. And then get back to some serious shooting.

I like the idea, using the safe to block the door.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Yeah...Heaven help the guy that might try to break into that room.  1015 lb gun safe with a couple hundred lbs of guns, couple hundred more of ammo, and about 800 lbs of lead in it.  And, the rest of the room is full,  Moving the safe is nigh impossible, let alone when there is nowhere for it to go.
