Hello, I'm a newbie here but had been doing 10mm Glocks for awhile.  I'm trying to research as much as I can about the MechTech conversion and what people have experienced about it.  So if you have one or held one, I'd appreciate any feedback!  Thanks.

Breadman03

I've never seen one.  From what I've read, they are built sturdy, are quite accurate, are reliable, and a ton of fun.  I haven't heard of any complaints.

I too have only heard good things.

I have a MechTech for a 1911 45 and it works flawless.  Quick and easy to swap out and a lot of fun.

Quite handy as well.

I always wanted a Glock 20 conversion, but other things took priority.

I would highly recommend it.

Good Luck

I agree that they are fun and super easy to use, I have the 1911 45acp version and believe its been a great addition to my fun gun collection.

We know exactly where one cow with Mad-cow-disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in America, but we haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located.

Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration.

Looks like the 1911 variant would work with my Para if I bought the frame plug and got a GI safety.  This might have to go on the short list.

I have one and have no complaints with it. Boosts up the FPS by 200fps. I like it so much I been thinking of getting one in 9mm for the g17

Sweet set up! :)

Like the Paracord touch on the mags!

hillbillyhans

How much did that mech tech setup set you back?
Socialism: Ideas so good, they're mandatory!

I am thinking of buying a 21SF lower only and getting a mechtech 10mm upper for it. Anyone do this?

When i was PMed on another forum and asked my thoughts on the MechTech this is how i answered:

"I always tell people this to start. If Mech Tech were to advertise(because i have never seen or heard of one) AND start producing these units for other "popular" make and models of pistols, i am a firm believer they would sell like hot cakes. Especially with the current AR craze in the last couple years.

Since i have bought mine, over a half dozen of the guys i run with have also. That alone should say something. I even got my wife one in .40sw. And yes i have, along with others, and on an extremely calm day with a VERY good rest shot sub 4" groups at 150 yards. And no ******** when i say four leaf clover at 100 yards. Same hole all day at 50.

Good- ill give you the important ones or i could go on for hours. RELIABLE, ACCURATE, FUN, Built like a tank, easy to operate/disassemble...

Bad- If i had to truly say anything that would maybe even fall into this category it would be this:

somewhat kind of heavy. At least more than i had expected. But still less than my Remington 870 12ga.

and most importantly, KEEP IT CLEAN!!!!!! I and many other have found that your groups will start opening up around 75-100 shots after a fresh cleaning. And not bad either, Im talking maybe 3-4" groups at 100. Plenty good for anything i ask of the little carbine. So far every one that i have seen is this way. Simply run a BORESNAKE through it and good to go.

Oh and you better get lots of ammo. You will need it!   And dont lose the little "Glock Block". order an extra. Trust me!

sorry no vids."

Until the other day I had never seen or heard of them. How I missed them I don't know.

I bet if Hickok45 did a video with one they would sell a metric shiit ton of them. But not until after I get mine, I don't like waiting.  :D

oceanbob

I went ahead and ordered a 10MM unit. Waiting the 5 weeks now...........gonna be fun I suspect.  :)

Here in California we have to use the ugly fixed stock to keep the weapon 30 inches long; and use a bullet button and only 10 round magazines.. Ugggg..

A bullet button a my Glock frame is simply grinding down a mag release button so it sits just below the surface; requiring a tool to activate.  I bought a 'sight mark' cheap reflex sight that will mount on the topside rail provided.

RRMan03

Mech Tech email me and told me they would be in contact in about 60-90 days if I still wanted to order. From all I can find on these thy seem to be very reliable.
