44 Magnum Factory/Commercial Ammo pulldowns

I was a little surprised at the velocity. I thought they were going to be an 1100 fps self defense load.

Shot the Starfire .44's today. Weak! Average 1226 FPS/ 801 LBS out of a 7.5" Redhawk barrel.

Got these today Shadow. Did the 180 FMJ version long ago but not the XTP's. More work for you and Raggedyman if he can figure out the gel length needed  Underwood 180 and 300 XTP's.

 Today was .44 day and I finally... finally decided to do those Buffalo Bore 340's with everything else. I warmed up and did a bunch, so I knew I would be ready! All from my 7.5" Redhawk:

Remington 180gr JSP Average = 1689 FPS/ 1130 LBS
American Eagle 240gr JSP 1445, 1413, 1416, 1431. Average = 1426.25 FPS/ 1084 LBS
Underwood Ammo 300gr XTP 1174, 1144, 1167, 1177. Average = 1165.5 FPS/ 905 LBS
Underwood Ammo 180gr XTP 1583, 1608, 1620, 1575. Average = 1596.5 FPS/ 1019 LBS
Devastator 260gr Cast 1387, 1313, 1334, 1352, 1349. Average = 1347 FPS/ 1048 LBS
Buffalo Bore 340gr HardCast 1416, 1404. Average = 1410 FPS/ 1501 LBS!!!! Two perfect readings on the only two I had and showed me why they are best shot in certain firearms 

They 340's actually shot great but did have some push-back burping those big slugs through the barrel. I can see how a big diet of those could probably expand a frame. I like them!

Where these some of the ones I sent you?  If yes, the velocity readings are closer to what I had @ 1370 average.

  Someone brought it to my attention today their 10mm V-Supreme ratings have been lowered. I contacted Anthony hoping it is a misprint. He has a good thing going and hope that's all it is!

That FMJ looks like it might be a frangible.
