I'm thinking if Canada is invaded, we leave them to their own devices.

When I watch TV, it's usually a 'cop v.s. bad guys' or something to that effect. There is some Canadian show with bad acting and characters that look like a SWAT team who made the decision to shoot a daughter who was about to shoot her father. The father had been shown to have killed several people and had a gun at the time. I stopped watching that series after that first viewing. (Don't remember the name. I believe I flushed it out of my memory.)

The other day, I ran across another show called "Cracked" and gave it a view. But, when I saw the Toronto shoreline, I knew this would be a bust. First they handcuff an assault victim to calm down the crazed attacker. Later they encounter a nut who has stabbed and mutilated several people. He's holding a knife about ten feet away when the sensitive therapist asks the cop to put away his gun and talk to the nut. The cop complied. That did it. I did not wait to see the outcome.

I've participated in a 'Tueller Drill', but even if I hadn't I can't imagine how  that makes sense in the real world.

The "circus" used to placate the masses now includes brain washing for kinder treatment of sociopaths. I know it's been done in the U.S. but Canada is winning the "Cracked" race.

This is why I like Star Trek.  Science ships armed with quantum torpedoes and phase cannons.

TV for me has not been very entertaining!   I cut the cable TV several years ago.  I receive over-the-air broadcast from an antenna for local news and weather mostly...It is sad when the major news broadcasters are spewing lies and deceptions to sensationalize their own agendas!

Lately most movies are so over rated, computer graphic generations of fictitious characters and actors who lack any true American values...therefore I don't spend my money to finance these overpaid political activist in disguise!

One of the actors I have come to despise is Alec Balwin (he portrayed The SHADOW in the 1985 movie) which is kind of ironic considering my avatar and screen name... ???

A lot of truth in that statement(s).
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

There are a few good U.S. TV shows e.g. Homeland, Boss, Justified. I enjoyed my many visits to Canada. Don't go back anymore, not wanting to support their shift toward socialism. But did have good times on Yonge Street and the Harbour area in Toronto when I was single.

I was thinking more about the dangerous ideas portrayed in several Canadian shows. The common theme  in my complaint is their depicting those in authority harming the victim to relieve the perpetrator.

But Canadian TV can show how at odds we are with them. A series "ReGenesis" was on a few years back. It was about biotechnology, science fact plus a little fiction. But its characters said some pretty strong anti-USA words repeatedly throughout the show.
