Unusable Brass

What does everyone do here with their brass that can no longer be reloaded? I've got a little pile going and I suspect it's going to get bigger.

Throw it in a bucket and take it to a scrapyard. It adds up fast.

At our gun club, they'll almost pay you to pickup brass. You can sell it if you want or use it. Brass at the recycler here is $1.50 a pound prox as it fluctuates. I got into picking it up thinking I could pay for my gas by loading up on it. The range is 75 miles one way. I bought a gizmo that does a decent job picking it up but it's slow. They then handed me the keys to the front end loader that also has a blade. They have a screen affair built that you take the dirt and brass and just dump it into the screen box and the dirt goes one way, the brass goes another. After doing this a couple of times, they'll have to pay me to fool with it. There just isn't enough money for all the BS you have to go thru to get it picked up and take it to the recycler. The recycler is a half a day buttwhoopin' waiting in line to be weighed. So before you think you'll get money for a few pieces of brass, a 5 gallon bucket will get you roughly 40 bucks in your pocket. It takes a long time to fill a 5 gallon bucket a couple of pieces at a time. I thrown mine in the garbage.

I decap mine with a universal decapping die, and throw it into a bucket.  We'll see how much money I get for that bucket.   If not enough, I'll just start throwing it in the trash.
