I debated the choice but think this will be a nice piece. Through the family discount special  ;D I think next order I will get an upgraded Weaver scope.

Also one of these speed loaders to make it a real dream 120 rounds quickly:

I have a speed-D-loader and it does in deed work well...  ;D

Good first hand account is good to know.

The speed loader arrived yesterday and I must say it makes putting 15 in a couple of seconds task. Way better than loading a mag up, so I'm really happy with going with the Marlin 60.

Intercooler

Finally took it today. I really like it and glad I got this one instead of the 10/22. The Spee-d-loader made putting 15 in it a breeze and much cheaper than buying 8 mags.

First 100 or so shots ever and I wasn't trying real hard at 25 yards:

Lower target next 100 or so:

Some additional garbage groupings I did:

GOOD JOB I.C..... I ALWAYS bring a 22 or three to the range. NOTHING like burning holes in targets!!

Thanks. Only problem is. 22LR is so scarce it will probably be a while until I test out the new scope that arrives today.

I just don't get it.  The most generic google search shows there aren't the votes in the house to pass an AWB.  This is pure panic for the sake of panic.

It happened when Obummer first got elected. too, It not only caused panic buying of guns and ammo, it caused a huge run on reloading supplies. Primers? All but the most expensive ones unavailable. Highly used powders? Non existent. Already seeing them to list all their primers out of stock. Powder Valley is feeling the pinch.

A LOT of gun stores are only selling little lots so that more people can get the stuff. They won't sell you 5000 primers, only 1000. for instance. Limits on boxes of ammo. Can buy 2 boxes, not ten.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Intercooler

No .22LR to be found anywhere. That's amazing but little else either.

Shockingly 10mm is turning up though. In times of little the less popular calibers you can get  :o

The_Shadow

Locally here nothing but a box of Win 300 Mag and very few assorted shotgun shells... ???

In again today and the shelves look just the same as a couple of months ago. Nothing there!

You think the Government order of 1.6 Billion rounds is pushing normal ammo to the bottom of the production heap?

DM1906

Yeah.  Since when should the government come before The People?  So much for a government "of the People".

I was at our local WM a few days ago.  Surprised, but they had a fairly good supply of ammo.  Mostly 12 and 20 ga, 410, and a lot of common rifle.  None that I needed, but plenty of .30-06, .243, .270, .30M1, Magnum rifle and pistol.  No .22 LR's, 9mm, .40's of course, but did have a few others.  LGS has a really healthy supply, but he's rationing.  His words, "I have to support my locals, and how can I sell guns if I have no ammo to go with them"? Makes sense, to me.  He's getting a trickle of orders filled, but he's getting some.

I'm going "hunting" Friday. Gonna try a couple GS no normally visited as well as a trip to cabelas...  Only looking for primers and 22Mag rimfire.

I reload all my CF stuff. Haven't bought factory ammonia in over twenty years. Sans RF, 12 ga and occasional CCW stuff.

I am done buying CCW stuff too.  Heck, everyone I buy CCW stuff from loads in Starline brass using off the shelf powders.  Not sure how anyone could prove which came out of the Buffalo Bore or Underwood box and which came from my press.

And with cast bullets, much of my reloads are cheaper than rimfire.  Once I figure out some gallery loads for my Mosin Nagants for the kids to shoot, I won't have a lot of use for a 22 anymore.
