Really? It can't handle +P rounds? It's loaded with Uw 9mm+P 124 XTP.

He's right, they advise against hot rounds. I've shot a few of those. Glad you like it.....but your have to pay me to take it from you lol

Olgo, this is so sad. You were my inspiration when I was looking to get my 29SF!

I do want another 9x19 myself. I want a Gen5 19. I've got a G43 Talo edition and my ole trusty Ruger P93. That old Ruger will feed any dirty ammo you throw at it  I think you could drop rocks in and lead would leave the barrel and brass out the slide lol

Hey OK long time no see.  :)

Yeah, it got to where the 10mm is too much for me and for trips to the range with my brother it gets expensive. Anyway I wanted a 9mm and I didn't have one. All the 9s I had are gone. I really like the Beretta PX4 I got. Great shooter and for carry it's loaded with Fenix 9mm  124 FXP.

Pretty hot round and interesting that it uses Shellshock casings and Gold Dot bullets.
How powerful is 10mm? Well, see those craters on the moon?

The 124 grain Gold Dot is probably the most consistent performer ever in 9mm.

Then I got the right ammo. (now where's that dancing emoji?)

Last tests I looked at, the 124 +p factory Gold Dot expanded to like 0.60" consistently, and penetration was 14"-16" and that was from an M&PC.

Just avoid the 147gr in 9mm. For some reason they arent consistent at all. Personally I think you should use the Federal 147 +P HST's. You can get them in 50 round boxes, for very nice prices. Dont get me wrong, I've always been a die hard Gold Dot user, but the HST is on another level of perfect.

Here you go Olgo. Here is the 147 standard pressure. $27 for 50 rounds. The +P is out of stock.

I always get my LGS to order them so I dont have to pay shipping.

HST is another one of the best. The heaviest I'd go is the 135 for the 9mm. The 147 has the OAL that may not work in some guns. I don't know if mine is one of them. It has a small opening.

That's a very attractive price for a box of 50. I paid $30 for a box of 50 at Fenix and they are a hot 124 Gold Dot.

I looked up Fenix. Dang now I've got to order some! $40 for 50 rounds of 10mm Gold Dots. That's a smoking price! 1375 fps too. I wonder what they chrono from a G29?

Fenix replied to me. They use a 5.75" barrel for 10mm velocity, so that sucks. They said I should expect 1325-1350 from a Glock 20. So that would be 1275 or so from a G29.

For 180 grain slug that's a blazing 650 foot pounds out of the G29. That pistol'll be a hard hitting SOB!  :-X

I've been thinking the same as you though. I want another Glock 19. Might get me a Gen5. It will be that or a Sig P320.

I've been carrying the Hornady Critical Duty 175 grain in my Glock 29. Reason being, in all the tests I've seen they expand marvelously even through barriers when tested in the Glock 22. I cant find any CD tests from the G29, but my 29 shoots them a little faster than a G22 does, and it's the same bullet. So I kind of have a G29 gel test dont I?

What I'm getting at, is Olgo, check out the newer 124 +P Critical Duty. The original 135 trainers didn't perform well if it wasnt fired from something like a G17 (4.5" barrel or more). They solved those issues with this 124. It isn't the fastest thing out there, but they are consistent and make a purdy flower.

Here's the video I made when I replaced the recoil spring and the hammer spring. Stronger recoil spring to handle hot +P and +P+ ammo. The hammer spring for softer trigger.

By the way, I just remembered that I kept the box of Fenix 10mm 180 FXP. That's in case I get another 10mm. Yeah OK, I may get another one but it'll be the full size.

I wonder what they would do in my TNW Aero Survival Rifle with its 16 inch barrel?

Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?
