I bought a Kimber 1911 10mm Stainless Target and took it to the range.  After the first mag I was impressed.  Not just the speed but the accuracy!  I shoot 1911 45 ACP frequently but this 10mm pistol fits me.  Got to work up some hand loads because I can see, for me, this pistol is capable at 50 yards.  I rang steel at 50 with some Sig Sauer 180 grainers.
One happy camper!

It's definitely my favorite caliber  : )

Second time I shot my 1911 in 10mm, I loaded full house loads.   Fired a box of fifty, then switched to my 1911 in .45 aCP.   The latter felt like shooting marshmallows after the 10.

yes. the 45 is more of a push and the 10 is more like a kick. an observation on recoil comparison. On the flip side look up 45 super. the conversion is as simple as a barrel and spring swap. or not in some cases not even that.
