This.  Most often when I seen once fired 10mm for sale it is only a couple percent cheaper than starline.  Sometimes it is more expensive.

Exactly, plus you don't have to worry about sorting out any questionable brass if you're loading hot stuff.

Aww dude you were just too late. I did a massive 10mm brass swap on ammobrasstrader. I swapped him all my brass cases and kept all my nickel plated.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Noticing this myself.

So for someone that doesn't reload, what is a reasonable price to ask for once-fired (Sig and S&B mostly) brass?  I have no interest in reloading but would like to recoup some of my costs without giving it away.

It is reasonable to ask 90% of what Starline new brass costs, cause honestly I see people paying that.  Once fired 10mm brass is hard to find and demands nearly the same price as new.  I even understand the cognitive bias that makes people do this.  I personally just am very willing to pay 10% more for a consistent, known product.

The market in general seems to be that once fired brass is valued at about 75%-80% of comparable new, assuming the brass is deprimed, sized and cleaned.  Un-processed is about 30-50% of new.  But there is a lot of variability in this due to different availabilities.  Once fired military brass in 5.56 unprocessed runs about 25-30% the price of new Federal brass, but there is lots of it.

Georgia Arms offers $4 a pound exchange for unprocessed brass. It's applied to the purchase of new or reloaded ammo from them. I'm sure that is less than what was previously mentioned, but the convenience factor is there. No searching for a buyer or sorting brass by brand.

So, if I read this correctly, that works out to about 6¢ to 10¢ a round for brass that is just collected off the ground and boxed. This is based on $95 for a box of 500 shipped from Starline.

Recently payed $55 / 500 pcs shipped of O/F 10mm brass.

Starline is great brass and a solid price. Bite the bullet and just push the button.

mewe.com, a gun friendly alternative to Facebook, has a LOT of people selling brass.
