Best price I have seen yet is about 750 on gun broker. Local dealer has on on the shelf for 819

I was gonna snag it this Friday after work, but now that it looks like springfield is gonna finally make good on their 10mm commitment, I may hold off for a couple more weeks.

I buy wholesale so I am not a good gauge on pricing.

However the last I looked Davidsons had 52 in stock so they are out there.

The more I shoot this revolver the more I like it I am doing a comparison to my 357 on the surface the 10 wins especially when you get above 180 grains.

This one looks like a big win for Ruger.  Especially, for those who missed out on those Lew Horton 3" model 610's.  These are going to become classics too.  Somebody over-there is actually listening to their customer-base now.

I just want Ruger to make a 6" version with either scope mounts or micro red dot mount.  ;D

I shot my 3" in an "Outlaw" IDPA match this weekend and took 1st revolver (because I was the only revolver).  I didn't encounter any problems related to the gun, holster, moonclips or ammo, everything worked just fine except the software between my ears.  I had fun and that's the main thing.

Sounds like allot of fun and that is impressive to shoot that little gun that much under pressure  8)

One thing I found out today is this little revolver likes the 150 grain XTP loaded over a good dose of Power Pistol. The lighter bullets hit point of aim at defensive distances and the recoil is mangable.

Wreckless

I( noted the same thing with mine. They definitely shoot lighter weight bullets more accurately.

Having great success with the solid copper HP from Lehigh and from Barnes both shoot really well.

Low recoil and very accurate.

Has anybody done any chronographing with the 3"?   I'm a bit curious about muzzle flash also.

I at one time considered geeting a custom GP100 built ... But never got around to it ... at that time I had several projects going at once... Now that Ruger has a GP100 in 100mm in production... Im broke as a convict ....I only use gun money for guns ... And I don't really have anything I want to sell ...but if I run in to a bit of extra money .. I will own a 3inch barreled GP100 in 10mm

I chrono'd a few rounds thru both my SR1911 and my 3" GP100.  It looks like the revolver is about 50fps slower than the 1911.  I haven't noticed much muzzle flash but my reloads use mainly BE86 or Unique, neither are very flashy in my experience.  Also the breech to muzzle of the GP is 4.6" which gives enough space to burn the eight or so grains of powder in a 10mm round.

I shot a few 155gr rounds in my GP but it seems to prefer 200gr bullets on paper.

I have not noticed any muzzle flash but I have shot only during day light.

Went to the Berea Ohio gun show yesterday Saturday. The Ruger dealer/distributor had 3 on display/for sale. The 3", a 4" match champion, and a 4" that was like the 3". All 3 were nice. Don't remember the prices he had on them, just looking at them as potential future acquisitions.
