It also works with 40S&W. TK Custom make beefy aftermarket full moon clips for them. Should last much longer than the flexible factory offerings.

I picked mine up last week, I went straight to the range, and couldn't be happier with it.  I've only put Hornady Critical Duty through it so far.

Driving 6.5 hours to my inlaws house today. About half way there we stopped at a gun shop, lo' n behold! There was a 3" 10mm GP100 wagging its tail.  My wife just sighed "go ahead and get it".
When the gent handed it to me there was no doubt it was going home with us.

Now for a holster and extra moon clips. I'm thinking a Simply Rugged Sourdough and moon clip holder.

No range reports till I go home next week. Sigh!

I couldn't stand it!  350 miles from home with a new 10mm was too much to bear.  I picked up a box of 180gr SIG fmj ammo, found a 20 rnd box of 200gr WFN handloads and a 20 rnd box of 180gr XTP handloads in my truck.  Then off to the pay to play indoor range I went with my new Wiley Clapp six gun.

I only shot at 7 and 15 yards on a silhouette target standing on my back legs.  Zero problems, no malfunctions.   It wanted to put the SIG rounds into one hole at seven yards, slightly left of where I was holding. The 200gr loads were slightly high and left, the 180gr XTPs were about equal to the SIG ammo.  No problems with the OEM moon clips. I also fired several of each load without clips, no issue. The empties were easily plucked out with my thumbnail.

I believe I've found the replacement for the 2 3/4" .357 Ruger Speed Six I have unsuccessfully looked for over the years.

Lucky,

I know there is a 3" wiley near me, but I cant swing what they want for it right now. Darn Adult Responsibilities.

For sure, I struggle with this on a regular basis; one of the many downfalls of not being independently wealthy

This is going to be my Winter carry piece with Underwood Xtreme Defense ammunition. I am very happy with this revolver.

Holster and ammo pouch arrived this weekend. With enough belt and holster you almost forget that you're carrying a real gun.

The little cannon prints 200gr WFN over 6.1gr Unique right on the tip of the front sight at 25 yards.  Seems to be a quite mild load and cheap too.

I received my GP100 Wiley influenced 10mm revolver today.

I also got my moon clips but my oversight caused me an issue that was I received a boat load of S&W 610 moon clips. So grrrrrrrr.

Not to worry the 10mm head spaces on the case mouth. So I loaded some 200 grain WFN loaded over 7.5 grains of Power Pistol. At 25 feet these printed to POA. The gun is a fantastic handling and shooting revolver. The recoil although stout was not objectionable and follow up shots are easily put on target with precision. I also shot some 180 grain XTP and Gold Dots loaded over a stout load of Longshot. They also printed to point of aim and were easy to put on target with double action and single action mode.

I really like this revolver and this gun may take the place of my 357 mag snubby as an every day carry. I think Ruger hit outta the park with this 3" revolver.

Barring any major problems, going to pick mine up next week!

What are the best prices you have been seeing? Somewhere around 620.00 - 650.00

Rick R

My local dealer quoted me $850 "if he could get one". The shop where I found mine was asking $840, came down to $790.  I had it in hand and SWMBO said "just buy it", what's a guy to do?  :P

Thanks Rick, the ones I looked at Buds, and on GB must have been something different, but were for sure some variant of the GP 100

Best price I have seen yet is about 750 on gun broker. Local dealer has on on the shelf for 819

I was gonna snag it this Friday after work, but now that it looks like springfield is gonna finally make good on their 10mm commitment, I may hold off for a couple more weeks.
