I really like my factory grips on the Rock Ultra, but was hoping there were other options; other than what's available from Advanced Tactical. Any idea if the other 1911 manufacturers grips will work on the Rock Ultra?
Thanks

Hey sqlbullet,
An particular Para hi-cap model I would want to choose?
Thanks

That is a really good question.  I will try to check the grip screw holes between my Para and RIA tonight.

yep...P14/P16 grip screw holes line up.  The grips will be a little long due to the mag well, but that can be rectified with about any saw blade.

Thanks for looking into that sqlbullet, greatly appreciated my Friend : )

Kenk

sqlbullet, so are other parts, other than the grips interchangeable from the P14 / P16? To the Rock Ultra?

sqlbullet

As far as I can tell between my two guns, the only thing that would not swap back and forth without machining is the sights.  My Para has standard GI sights, meaning no dovetail on the front and just a standard dovetail for a GI blade on the rear.  If my Para were machined for more modern sights, those would change too.

Normal 1911 fitting rules would apply.  But the RIA 1911A2 is a very faithful clone of the Para wide body.

So if I wanted to use my G20 Kenai Chest rig with the RIA Ultra, I would want a shell made for the 1911 Government 5", correct?, as they don't appear to make one for the Para P16
Thanks for all your help

Do the para grips have the little wings that sit next to the safety lever, like the circled ones in the pic?
