I was disappointed in the velocities shown on Jeff's testing...
I have to wonder if cutting the cylinder for 10mm Mag was culprit or if the ammo just wasn't up to potential.

The 1340 FPS for a 180gr? That's pretty good I think in a 4.2" barrel?


Has anyone really put a foot forward working up AutoComp loads? It works great in 9mm!

I'm glad to see, Ruger is finally listening to it's customers.  They used to be the last ones to offer anything new, or exciting.  The GP-100, is a much more versatile platform, than the big Super Redhawk.  The Super, would also be a good candidate for a 10mm Magnum conversion.  I wonder, as someone else mentioned, if S&W will get-woke, and offer the 610 as a re-issue?  They offer no autopistols in this caliber either, amazing.

It would be interesting to compare the revolver 10mm to a comparable length simiauto. I would be curious to see how the recoil and velocities compare.

Intercooler that 1340 fps was from 10mm Magnum not 10mm auto!  I would have expected a little more velocity, but whos to say if it was the extra cylinder cut to 10mm Mag of just the ammo and 4.2" BBL...

Springfield Armory has to deal with the XD engineers and factory being in Croatia. From my experience in dealing with SA from an agency that issued XD, XDs and Mod 2 pistols they are great at product support but slow to add new models due to the supply chain / import hassles. 

Ruger has continued to develop their production abilities and investment casting tech to the point that if they think it they can make it.  I wonder if they can 3D print the wax blanks yet?   Now THAT would be cool.

Ahhhh! It looks like revolvers lose a good bit and the 4.2" barrel doesn't help much.
