So I'm not seeing any pictures on here anywhere.  On the Postimage.org site there is a message;

postimg.ORG domain is locked by Registry, no prior notice.
While we hope to resolve the issue, we chose postimg.CC as our new home.
Please update codes embedded in your websites.

I re coded pics for one post and they show up..

Am I going to have to go back through every single post and re code every pic now?  Any news about this.  Or is this a problem on my end?

Thanks.

RDub01, I hope it is only a glitch, they have been known to have some issues...
A while back I couldn't se my posted pics but others could, but mine are not showing tonight either...
I was PO'ed with Photobucket for their change of service...it was a monumental task to re address all of the pictures to postimg.

Hey Shadow..
Been checking some older posts, and some pics are ok and some pics are missing. I discovered a few that are still addressed to Photobucket. I can fix that.. Those on other forums are missing..  Gotta go back through and check each post it looks like.

So with the ones that are missing I re-posted from Postimage and they showed up ok..
  What a PITA..

This...is why I just host my own webserver.  Costs me a couple bucks a month in Azure fees, but I never have to deal with some sys admin elsewhere not doing their job.

OK I just changed a few addresses replacing the org with cc, nothing else and the pictures are showing here on the forum. 8)

Went to modify option for my post here on the forum, your picture address will show in the post.

Then replacing the org with the cc for each picture address will correct them as to show in the saved post.

I only did a few to wait and see how things shake out in the near future just in case things get rectified and made to work again under the original postimg.org addresses...

Well I have started the process of making changes to the hosted picture addresses tonight. ::)  Working first on the 10mm pull down section from the back toward the front...these changes will take time so bare with us as we over write each and every picture address... ???

Don't know if the Post Image will have other changes, but for now it looks like the cc (possibly Carbon Copy) they implemented for the hosting to be viable to those using the service...

Made some good progress last night updating the Postimage hosted picture addresses so the pictures will show on the forum.  I notice RDub01 has been updating some of his as well.

I actually found some pictures of mine that I missed during the Photobucket swap over and I have corrected several of those as well.

While running through all of these post, if I find other form members pictures that need updating for Postimage I will modify those as I continue my quest o update my post.  Those that I make changes to will see "last updated by The_Shadow and a date"

This will be ongoing and take time to find and review the post with pictures that don't show up anymore... :-[

Reminds me when Photobucket...with NO warning it was coming....decided they wanted to charge you 90 bucks a year for 3rd party hosting. Needless to say, I left them and got all my pictures on where it was still free.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

gandog56, I was paying like $20 a year to Photobucket for the extra storage space, so I could have all the pictures that I placed here on this forum and others as well...several thousands.  Just before the TOS change went active on the anniversary of my account (Febuary 2018), I had open the Postimage account in November and quickly started uploading these pictures to that account, as I changed the addresses here on the forum as well to save them and not lose any.  I did fairly well back in November 2017. :D

However, over the last 3 days of re-addressing all of the pictures because of the Postimage snafu, I actually found a few I had missed that still had broken addresses for Photobucket.  Not to worry though, I was able to find those pictures on my computer and upload and address them to preserve the pull-down information.  Some members on the forum also were using Postimage for their pictures, being an moderator when I find them, I will modify their posted picture addresses so their pictures continue to show. ;)

Yes, I am leery of what may happen down the line with Postimage at some point...Bandwidth and storage space cost money...only time will tell...
