What red dot sight are you running on your G40 or your 10mm pistol ?

This will be a woods and hunting rig so still trying to decide which red dot and MOA size dot too.
Yes, I know MOA is the area the dot covers at 100 yards.  Leaning towards 6 MOA to pick it up a little fasters and it will only cover 3" at 50 yards.

Forgot to ask, do you find suppresser height sights to help with finding the red dot faster or
distracting ?

I understand the theory behind taller iron sights., but just seems that one may as well just use iron sights. Of coarse, if the optic fails then you have iron sights.

The smaller the dot the better, more accurate.

No suppressor sights... If you have to hold over for a shot, the tall sights will be blocking your view of the target.

I like the Leupold Deltapoint Pro with the small dot (2.5 moa).... Easy to see, doesn't take up the whole lens, and precise when needed....150 yards hits on 12" targets are pretty easy.

I agree. I love my deltapoint. Hasn't failed me yet.

Using the Burris FFIII 3 MOA dot.  It works great and has a forever warranty.  I am using four of them and so far all is good.  They have a white vertical line on the rear of the sight that you can line up with the front sight to help find the dot if needed.  I have not replaced the front sight yet with a taller one (should require about a .410 or so) but once installed it should just peek over the rear of the FFIII to provide something usable with no need to install the taller rear that might get in the way.

With Trijicon suppressor height sights.

Burris ffiii here too,G20.

Is your slide milled or are you running a mount in place of the rear sight ?

I am running the Burris FFIII on my G20SF using the UM Tactical mount.  It works so well I resisted getting my G40 for a long time and now I am not sure I am keeping the G40/Burris FFIII.  The mount is too simple to install/remove and has great repeatable accuracy.

I ordered the deltapoint. Does it come with the correct length screws or ?

Going to buy a suppresser soon so should I go with a KKM barrel or the Alpha Wolff ?

Ridgerunner665

The screws that came with mine are the right ones.

Use a torque driver to install them, they'll strip easy... Also, remove the blue stuff Glock puts on the screws to the mounting plate and put fresh blue loctite on them and the ones for the optic too, just a drop on each one.

Kenk

Blue Loctite for sure, but not more than a drop...at least in my experience

Vortex Venom and suppressor sights just in case!

Mostly used for pig hunting!

AZ_Shooter

Vortex Venom 3 MOA dot. So far no problems.
