Is there any truth in that you need to inform KKM that you will be shooting hotter loads, as they apparently make slight adjustments to the barrel prier to shipping it? I saw this in the below post and was hoping for some input
Thanks

Kenk, you have to understand that the KKM barrels are tighter tolerance ad as such some have had some feeding issues for one reason or another.  Some were that they were running the hotter loaded ammo and this can change the slide velocities.  Some are running their own handloaded ammunition, things hat come to mind are tolerances of the ammo they make.  Reused brass cases, were the fully resized? Pass-Through Sized? Are the extraction rims damaged? Ruff?  Then there are procedures used while seating and crimping, that may actually cause the case to buckle while crimping or have bullet material roll up inside or outside the casings, that may hamper feeding as well.  Then there are the COL lengths that can be issue if the tipping angle is too long for proper feeding.

Now with all of that said, properly spec ammo should feed reliably.

But understand that the adjustments they make will be at the entrance of the chamber reducing support at the feed ramp and possibly radiuses about the entrance...this defeats the purpose of buying the Aftermarket Barrel for extra case support...

Very good, I check several specifications, among other things on each and every rd, so I should be fine....knock on wood  : )
