Hey 10mm site, new to this forum because I'm new to 10mm. Just picked up my first after almost 40yrs of shooting handguns! Picked up a BN Gen4 G20/Full FDE. What sights are you guys buying for this pistol?  Was wanting to give the TruGlo TFX sights a try for a while. I've had every night sight available, thought something I never had would be good.  Any ideas?

I put one of these on my G20 last year, and I really enjoy it.

Took some getting used to, but after a couple range trips it's become second nature. Much preferred over the stock box sight, imo. I don't shoot at night much, and I have a light/laser on the rail, but I've been toying with the idea of fluorescent nail polish on the ring for a bit better visibility in dim light.

Best part - since it's just $30, you can experiment with something novel while continuing your search for night sights, and not feel too bad if you decide you don't like it.
"The meek shall inherit the Earth" is a mistranslation. Properly translated it would say: "Those who have swords and know how to use them, but keep them sheathed, shall inherit the Earth". Carry every day.

I went with the Tru-Glo TFX on my G20. These are excellent sights!!

Tommy, how far out do you think you could accurately shoot with the Tru-Glos? I am wondering just how suitable that might be for hunting  out to 75 yards or so.

SPDSR

Front sight is large. Probably not ideal for 75 yds as it will cover everything. I tried the TFX and TFX Pro. The Pro front is terrible. The orange ring is a dark orange that does not make it easy to pick up like the bright orange sights everyone else uses that have colored rings. It also flakes. No idea why Truglo hasn't changed that. The white front is better on the TFX but the rear on the Pro is better. Overall, I didn't care for them since I'd need to buy two sets for each gun to mismatch the front and rear. Plus at distance the front was just too big.

Good to know, SPDSR. Guess I'll just have to keep saving for a red dot.

I use the Warren Tactical Sevigny sights on my G20 for deer hunting and really like them

Ken, fixed or competition rear? Which front sight?
Seems like being able to adjust for windage and elevation would be nice if working with several different classes of handloads, but if you have settled on one good, stout hunting load the fixed would be fine.

Kenk

Hey Bill, the rear sight is fixed, with a black blade for the front. As for a load, I use a fue. For range / most practice, I shoot 10.4gr's Blue Dot under a 180gr XTP or HAP, for Whitetail, I practice with Underwood's 180gr XTP. Regardless of the bullet, these sights are awesome...at least for me.

The Williams Adjustable fiber optics sights are good for target shooting or hunting, but I don't think they are good for self-defense: Only a longer 6" barreled gun. They are made of aluminum, so I doubt they could take the abuse of a self-defense gun.

I have the non-tritium Tru-Glo sights on my G19. They are not perfect. They seem to be good for self-defense.

I have the stock Glock tritium sights on one gun. I think the Tru-Glo tritium sights would be better.

Thank you for the information on the sights.
