Morning Folks, any of you use the
Xtreme 180gr RNFP? The reviews look pretty good, and the price is right. I really like the 180gr XTP & HAP, but are a bit on the pricey side.
Thanks

Ken

I use them and like them, Kenk.  I purchased a lot last Nov. that uncharacteristically shot poorly, but X-Treme sent me a replacement and made it right.  I find that my SR1911 prefers the 180gr RNFP HPCB heavy plate a bit more than the standard plate.  Great and affordable for target practice and plinking.  Plus I can use this same projectile in my 40s.  Win-win.

Thanks, so the quality is good as long as you don't run into a bad lot?

I'm prob on my 10th box of 500 ( rnfp heavy plated 180 ).  No issues in a stock G20/3
Running with Blue Dot and find they are very accurate at about 10.2-10.4 grs

I've managed to pull a few out after firing and the plating is still fully intact, no issues there

That's awesome, any thoughts on rainier's quality?

I was really frustrated with Rainier. The core is very soft and they were more finicky about speed. The Xtreme and Berry's heavy plate have been much better. The Xtreme have a much harder core. If you contact Xtreme they will send you free samples.

Yup.  It was one bad batch of many I've used and am still using.
