I believe they were FEG HiPower clones branded with a CD rollmark.

Sold pistols by all accounts just poor marketing

Since i don't facebook, I can't see the pic, but can infer by TX Moose statements that we are discussing the Charles Daly Hi Power.

They are fantastic guns.

While they are made from FEG parts, they are not just FEG guns with a CD roll mark.  KBI imported parts, not complete guns.  As a result, the Charles Daly Hi Power is the only Hi Power to be stamped "Made in USA".

They then had Dan Wesson finish machine, fit and assemble the first 500 guns, which have serial number prefixed with "HP".  These guns are set up with dovetails for Novak style BHP sights.

The remainder of the production run was completed by Magnum Research.  These have a seriel prefix of "HPM".  Thay also come with Novak style sights, but these are 1911 dimension dovetails.

The guns shipped with Uncle Mikes rubber grips, but as faithful and dimensionally correct Hi Power clones will accept any hi power grips.  The finish was matte except for the sides of the slides.  It is more a "gray" than a "blue", and they are nicely polished.  They also carry the FEG style extended safety.

These are every bit as good as the Browning High Power, and IMHO a bit for desirable since they carry a Made In USA stamp, which the Browning doesn't.  Don't pass on one if you see it at a good price.
