G20 gen 4 Complete 22lb spring assembly, a good thing, or a waste of money

I know that this has been hashed over a million times, but wanted to ask the experts. First and foremost, is adding a 22lb spring to my G20 gen 4 worth doing? and if so, who makes a complete G20 gen 4 spring assembly (please include sellers exact link if possible) many say that the factory spring assembly is fine, and not to mess with it, yet others insist it should be changed out. My main reason for considering this is not because of nuclear hand loads, even thou I do load some hotter rd's from time to time, but to keep my brass in the same county.

I have read the Gen 4's don't need a heavier spring.  But my only Gen 4 is a G40.  It's mass plus the dual spring is certainly enough but I don't know about a Gen 4 G20.  I think you have to get an adapter on the Gen 4 to mount a Gen 3 spring setup.  Not really sure.  Hopefully some more knowledgeable guys will jump in.

I have never run a non-factory strength spring in my Glock 20.  But I have in my 1911's and my Witness guns.  Brass still went to orbit.

I would further say that messing with the recoil spring is inviting reliability issues in a gun that runs already.

I replaced my stock RSA (G20 Gen4) with an ISMI (captured) guide rod and 22 lb spring. I purchased from MidwayUSA (spring, guide rod). Be sure to order the necessary reducing ring adapter that that will seat the rod in the front of the Gen 4 slide. A drop of Loc-tite on the spring-retaining cap-nut is wise.

This set-up has been reliable with everything from mild factory loads to hot spice. The hot brass went from county limits to my zip code with the 22 spring. Perhaps a 24 pounder would keep it on my block?
